@The1stMJC agreed....I will most likely get Jam on PS3 & 360 now...assuming its just a $10-15 PSN/XBLA title...

they might as well not even Release Elite if its not gonna come out the same day as NBA2K since they will lose sales....

Yes. I don't understand why someone would get NBA Elite over NBA2k11 with MICHAEL JORDAN!!!!! Unless...they'd gotten both.

Yes, this delay will certainly cut into Elite's possible sales, so I'm sure they've decided to release NBA Jam separate in order to recoup some of that cash.
I'm betting NBA Jam will outsell NBA Elite 11 (regardless of the price) and I don't even think it'll be close.

NOPE. Amazon, Gamefly and WalMart are all horrible about release dates. Gamestop is generally pretty on the ball 3 months after the title's been announced.

Game stop also Confirmed MVC 3 will ship to them on 3/3 here in Philadelphia. And they verifies Ken is in. And they said Phoenix wright is in(glad he didn't know what he was talking about on that). I think he also said he plays pool with Jesus Christ. Effin game stop. This is why Philadelphia has underground games dealers who undercut the prices of GameStop to $50 a game with no tax HA...go craigslist

Delaying NBA Elite is the best decision that EA has made in this generation of consoles. The game had some solid fundamentals in certain ways but was really just a messy, poorly executed product, but still solid ideas.

Here's hoping NBA Elite is delayed until November 2011 so that they have enough time to really work on making a solid product, yet still capture the new vision of the game.

I used to scream for this. But it seems like something went haywire in the process, probably because of greedy men in suites. Hopefully it is as good as I dreamed.

Well EA did effectively kill 2k's NHL games on the 360 and PS3, so reciprocation could have been expected.

Not just the cover. The whole package of the game is better. The sad thing is EA hired one of NBA2ks lead guys and he left and went back to 2K. Thats how bad EA is.

EA's changed it's mind so many times on Jam. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they decided to give NBA Elite away for free with copies of Jam. Only, the XBox version will not have backboards and the PS3 version is missing the Western Conference. Also, they're making a version for the GameBoy Advance.

@billysea If they are selling it as standalone product, it will not be less than $50 because that is the price of the Wii version.

I hope they add the legends for 360/ps3 versions, and make a couple roster moves to make them more accurate before the official release. But this is great news, i didnt want to buy elite, but EA will make a ton off NBA Jam.

Am I seriously the only one who enjoyed the Elite 11 demo?
I like it hell of a lot better than the 2k11 demo. The 2k11 demo was horrible!
I was going to buy 2k11 because it had Jordan, and the jordan challenges, but after the demos came out, I completely changed minds.
Elite was a lot more fun and the changes were pretty cool, 2k11 while cool, seemed just like 2k10, nothing new, I'll just play that if I want the same experience. The addition of Jordan was not enough for me to get over that, while on the other hand Elite was fun, and it had NBA Jam for free, to me it had won.
But now Jam isn't included, so I have to decide again 2k11 with Jordan or Elite 11 which was more fun to me, but with no bonus... I'm still leaning on Elite right now.

I didn't think the NBA Elite 11 demo wasn't that bad... but overall more time for polish is always a good thing. The new control system was a fresh change to me... more so then the standard button system that 2K has stuck with since it's inception. And it's not like the new control system had a huge learning curve, like when trying Backbreaker for the first time.

They've just annihilated any chance the Wii version of this had, quite frankly. Now it's competing against a freestanding digital product that's much cheaper and has more features

Seriously, this game has just been one middle finger to Wii owners after another. You can just tell they're now only gonna talk about the 360/PS3 versions from now one and then use the Wii version to tell their investors why it's just not worth it to put any effort into a Wii game.

Going from free bonus to standalone priced is a pretty shaky move. Will be interesting to see how this plays out, and how much convincing they'll need to do for whatever pricepoint they choose.
