ive never played a single Prince of Persia game. (was never fortunate as a kid to own a PlayStation, only Nintendo in my house) i used to be able to say the same about god of war. i loved the hd remake ALOT and it made me miss how long games used to be back then :-/ anyways!? is the PoP box worth it?

@PubeLess Yes.

Why didn't you just play them on GameCube though?

@PubeLess DIdn't have a GC? All 3 PoP were on there and actually superior to the PS2 versions.

From what I played of Sands of Time, this set will be worth it.

Especially if they are just $40 for the 3. MMM PoP in widescreen and HD.

Splinter Cell trilogy would be very nice. Never had the chance to play them on the PS2, and all three games on one disc would be great!

And by bringing them to the PS3 I'm sure they'll fix the issues that plagued the PS2 ones.

It would be very nice, indeed. The only thing I don't get is why they're releasing a Splinter Cell trilogy pack AND a Tom Clancy trilogy pack with Splinter Cell in it. Unless they got the information wrong, it doesn't make much sense to me. Besides, IMO, all Rainbow Six games before number 3 and the Ghost Recon series pre-Advanced Warfighter were kind of lame.

I would definitely love to see a remake of Halo 1 & 2 with the Reach engine. But sadly, I doubt that it will happen :/

@Prboi It has too!

Plus 343 industries is in charge of Halo now, so they could just upgrade the Halo to true widescreen and HD and I would be sold. I started playing Halo 1 after Reach and it still holds up so well.

also redo the sound and whatnot.

I'd actually rather them not, at least, not yet.

With Bungie officially (supposedly) done with the series there's little chance we'll get a next-gen remake (as in Xbox 720), but I'd still rather them wait out this generation and release them in like 2012 as a launch game for the next Xbox.

I'd rather they release Halo 4 as the launch title and give us HD-ififed 1 & 2 to hold us over until then.

PC version isn't going to give me Achievements, nor will it be played on my home theater system. So, nothing is "done" or "solved" that way guys.

The PC version is awful, since the FOV is completely screwed up on higher resolutions. In fact, it needed a hack to fix it, but it's now broken after the last update. Halo 2 is fine though.

@Solace J&D and R&C. I'd be shocked if they didn't make both seeing as they're giving Sly the update, and the Jak & Ratchet games are the more popular of the PS2 era mascots.

Jak & Daxter deserve a remake much more than Sly Cooper does, at least the J&D games were actually fun.

I like HD ports, but remakes are overrated. If they're going to spend that much time and effort remaking a game that's already excellent, then just make a new game instead. I would like to see the game updated to widescreen resolutions with achievements such, plus a PC version, too, but i don't really care to see them remake the game.

I hope these get announced soon! I'm so tired of this being so secretive. I mean, come on. It's been leaked so announce them already.

I'm stoked about MK. I can't wait for this. I've been itching to play UMK3 for a long time. The only reason I didn't buy it from XBLA is cause the 360 controller D-pad sucks. I've never played the old PoPs, Splinter Cells, or Rainbow Sixs so bring em on.

I still don't like this trend. PS2 games are good since its not a huge leap but if they start touching NES and SNES i'm gonna be disappointed.

I'm also starting to think that Sony is gonna get alot of hate because this means they have little to no incentive to release a PS2 BC PS3 anymore but i like how they added 3D so when i do get a 3DTV i will be able to have a decent library of games to start off with

lol why would they ever add PS2 BC again?

if BC meant so much to all of those complaining about it being removed they should have bought a 60 or 20 GB Ps3 at launch.

Better yet BUY a PS2
