Now I can pick this up at the $40 price.. on top of picking up a load of games coming out very soon along with a few now being Greatest Hits. This is like the hardest my wallet has taken a hit :(

BTW, the Move is AWESOME!

I'm getting it, along with Demon's Souls.

Does anyone have the PSP version? I'm considering picking that up so I have a driving game for my PSP. But if it's really inferior compared to the PS3 version I may reconsider.

@superfrick

The controls were what killed it for me. I really wanted to like it though.

There's a PSP demo on the PS Store. Prepare to be disappointed with constantly running into walls.

I think the problem people have with the controls for the PSP version is that they expect it to play like Mario Kart. In reality it's controls lay somewhere between Burnout and Wipeout.

It may look cartoony but there is a serious racer under the hood.

With that being said, I don't really like it much.

I know they had a patch that addressed the long load times, anyone know how much better they are now?

Not that I have a need for this game with so much other good stuff coming out soon (and some already available), but it always looked like fun.

@Omenege they're not much better. The game is still a chore to play.

@Omenege

They improved a lot since the patch. Starting the game takes a bit still but less than before. After that the loading is smooth sailing.

So, is the PS3 version better enough to forego the portability factor? Can you share your progress between the two versions or anything like that?

Sweet I'll be picking up the PSP version now, playing the demo it's the same but different but just as fun.

That's what the price should have been from the beginning, but at this point from what I hear about the AI, I'm not really tempted to pick it up anymore.

This was a game I had on the wishlist, but the demo killed any desire to pick it up in the short term :(

The PSP version is a joke compared to the PS3 version. The gameplay isn't even the same...

They only just removed region restrictions. That's one of the main reasons I quit playing; nobody to play with outside the UK + AUS.

Maybe a new story pack or big creation pack will get some users back. But with LBP2 coming out, I don't know how easy it would be to keep users since I'm guessing most of these racers were the type to hold R1 on a jet cheetah.

I love this game and enjoy the creation tools a lot. However, I see that each week there are mods and karts for sale in PSN. Does anyone know if there are any plans to sell new tools, such as new particle systems to create waterfalls, rain, or fog, new props or environments (ice maybe?), or game rule packs (last man standing, game specific goals for created levels like the single player campaign has, Point challenges, etc)? Maybe some water racing additions where we can swap karts for boats (or have the karts float) to create multi- leveled designs (imagine Diddy Kong Racing)?

Media Molecule has been fantastic adding new tools to LBP since its inception. Will UFG do the same with MNR?

Thanks. Keep up the fantastic work Sony.

P.S.: Anyone experiences a bug that causes maximum water levels to drop once a created level is reloaded?
