Medal of Honor really wants you to know about Tier 1
24
These Tier 1 guys, they sure know how to ... umm ... remind us that Medal of Honor is a modern war game -- you know, in the sense that they're tough looking and are clearly armed to the teeth. Heck, amidst all the danger they're in, they don't even shed tear one!

I really am excited for the game. It looks very solid and entertaining. And I'm getting the game for my B-day too.
October is gonna be crazy. I may at least purchase 4 games in October.

@BFBeast666 F* dude it's a game. Give it a shot and if it stinks then judge it. It's not like it's being developed by M. Night Shumalamalamalaman

I'll prolly play this for the SP, iono about the MP though.
Also I'd just like to say that I am reminded a bit of myself by the guy throwing the bro out the window. That has to be based on me, because I am in no way an effeminate 16 year old bro.

Here's why I hate on MoH:
They released a list of bugfixes after the BC2 beta came out. What we got in the retail turned out to be the exact same thing as the BC2 beta. The MoH beta was terrible beyond words, and that's just in the bugs department let alone the actual gameplay. Don't get me wrong, BC2 turned out to be a great game, *eventually*. But to make a long story short, anyone convinced that MoH Gold will be anything different than the beta they already played, should seriously consider renting this first.

The only problem I had with BF:BC2 was that they kept fixing things, and ended up "fixing" things that weren't broken, like shotgun slugs, and they turned down all of the weapon damages, which made the game more of a sniperfest than it should have been. And they didn't even really fix the M60.

@BFBeast666 Uhm... MOH came out before COD. And therefore COD ripped off MOH. Your a troll.

@PerfectCyanide Then please, by all means let me clarify: I'm NOT talking about the beginnings of the series, I'm talking about the Modern Warfare games. It's no secret that ActiBlizzard is printing money with that franchise (and god knows why, I HATE CoD with as much of a passion as I hate EA in general) and the whole "reboot" of MoH screams "Me too!" on EA's part.
Clear enough?

If you really want to get technical, the Medal of Honor franchise was created by the same team that created the Call of Duty franchise (Infinity Ward). Only the publishers have differed.
I enjoyed the multiplayer beta and felt like it could sustain me for a good long while. I have followed all of the campaign information and it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun.

Wikipedia claims that the people who started Infinity Ward only worked on MoH: Allied Assault. Nothing about creating the Medal of Honor franchise.

They've got a new single player video up in Tier 1 Central at MOH's site as well as video of the updated MP with the changes in the forums and it actually looks very good.

I'll wait for the reviews. So far I've yet to see anything that really sets it apart from the likes of CoD. All that "tier 1" stuff means nothing if the gameplay is same old same old.

Is MoH going to have infinitely respawning enemies in single player, like in MW?

I asked a friend who is a career military/SF guy if the operatives that had worked deep in Iraq/Afghanistan that he had previously mentioned were called "Tier 1." He laughed in my face and said: "What, is that from a video game?"

Tier 1 is the correct term for highly specialized operators. They are the creme of the crop like DELTA and ST6. I'm sorry your friend doesn't know that.

I think it looks really good, but the Mutiplayer Beta was a real let down IMHO...
