Peggle for a buck: Many top iOS games on sale for crazy-low prices

What could be better than the iOS version of PopCap's ~~crazy-addictive~~ totally excellent Peggle for only $0.99? Try a whole bunch of top-shelf games for Apple's devices on sale for a buck, some of which normally run $5 or more. The likes of Osmos, Spider: The Secret of Bryce Manor, Need for Speed Shift, both Monkey Island SEs and more are being offered at the price.

Others, including Mirror's Edge, Castlevania Puzzle and Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2 have dropped to $1.99. These prices are temporary, of course, and without any announced end dates for the various sales, we'd advise getting 'em while they're hot. You'll find a full list super savings after the break.

i bought Peggle when it was .99 a while ago, some may agree or not but the iOS is the best version to play on, it works so good with a touch screen. Its worth alot more then some games five times its price... go buy it!!

by the way, why can't they release Peggle Nights on the App Store already, c'mon PopCap

also if you want my opinion on what games are actually worth those prices then: Peggle, Monkey Island 1 and 2, Doom RPG, Mirror's Edge, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, and Zenonia 2

the Zombie world at war games are so bad on a touch screen.

Yay! Missed peggle last time it was 99cents and kicked myself In the nuts... Got a couple of capcom games including RE4 last weekend and MI 1 and 2 all for 99c the previous weekend... There should be IPhone game sales every weekend from now on!

Oregon Trail is also on for $0.99.

Dude it's seriously not the developers fault. Android is on so many different devices with various hardware and software (though 2.2 is catching up fast).

There are rumors that Gingerbread will set the industry standard for high end devices. I think that's when you'll start to see all these awesome iOS games and apps on Android.

I just got bittrip and it's really good, I liked the wii version but this seems better and brighter, it looks really sharp. also the music sounds better, maybe its just my headphones.

My internet has been fully devoted to downloading apps since this article popped up.

people may complain about the platform not being good for games, etc...but there are some really fun bite-sized distractions to be had, many better than the games we had access to back in the 8bit era. Peggle is a must, and I would highly recommend Mirrors Edge as well.

They made a live action movie of Bad Day L.A.?

I now have more games for the iPhone I don't own yet than for the iPod Classic I use everyday... Thanks Joystiq!

Embarrassed to say, the only handheld gaming I've been doing is on the iPod... when I scoffed at Jobs saying "we've got the portable gaming market in the palm of our hand" or something like that. APPLE HAS ME. NOOOOOOO.
