It's not a new single though, it was part of Of The Blue Colour Of The Sky. I mean, if you want to think of it as being new as a single, sure, but you make it sound like a new song here.

@Yandereboat

Also, Of the Blue Colour of the Sky has been out for months now, it's not "upcoming"

@TheyDidItFirst I missed that detail there, but wow. Come on, Joystiq, you know better.

@Yandereboat You see, back in the day, when a band wanted to promote an album they would release a single. The process involved pressing a small record with one song on each side. The A-side was usually a song from their latest album. They would send these records to radio stations and sell them in stores.

@TheyDidItFirst Yeah, but the band's rereleasing the album independently (as in, without their old label). So, the version you'll get is probably the rerelease.

So is this an official announcement of a Rock Band 3 full band bundle?

@MarkHawk

That's what interested me the most in this article.

@MarkHawk Harmonix has specifically stated on multiple occasions that there will not be a full band bundle.

I'm guessing that you'll just be getting the game and all of the instruments separately if you win the contest.

So... January of this year is upcoming then? I could've sworn it was over half a year ago.

@Jawnuhthun Oh, and that song was released as a "Single" a month ago, if that's what counts as a new "single."

That's just what I was thinking. This album is awesome, I saw it live, but it's not nearly new. Ok GO seems like the kind of band Griffin would listen to it being indie and all. Weird.

@Mofudos Yeah, I saw it live back in February. Great album, but definitely not new.

He might have been confused from their website saying to "preorder" on the top banner for the "Extra Nice Edition".

I have a bit of experience tinkering with tracks, having remixed (for my own amusement) two Nine Inch Nails songs and Kick the Bass by Julien-k. They sounded alright, if I do say so myself. I'll have to go and try this.
