Really? No Robby the Robot from The Forbidden Planet?

For shame, Joystiq! For shame!

Daleks from Doctor Who are not robots. The are genetically engineered mutant cyborgs.

There are lots of Doctor Who robots to choose from through : K-9, The Clockwork androids, Kamelion (from the Tom Baker series) and there was even an "Anne Droid" who hosted the fatal version Weakest Link in the future.

Forgot the part where the collection achievements are glitched and the +8 levelcap raise isn't until the 1.5 update which according to gearbox is "sometime in October". Still a fun DLC though.

@daevv They have since stated that a fix for those achievements will be part of the 1.5 update, and it will be retroactive.

I finished one of the first quests and discovered that I wasn't gaining any xp yet. I wish someone would have mentioned more explicitly that the patch that raises the level cap is coming in two weeks, not alongside they dlc. This is a really stupid mistake.

@Deegan , how could it be more explicitly than this?

http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/05/free-borderlands-update-will-raise-level-cap-rebalance-main-gam/

"Those would be a new level cap and a rebalancing of the main game to accomodate the new level cap. And neither of those will be included with the latest DLC. "

Daleks are not robots. They are suits of robotic armor worn by squid like creatures.

@LXicon Yes in my whophile rage I neglected to check first.

Now they need to have the Claptraps all say "Are you my mummy?"

I would've thought that the robot from "Heavy Metal" would have at least scored an honorable mention.

"Typical robot. The first earth chick we see in ten years, and he's got to make a play for her."

Seems like they've made it easier to get orange weapons too. I'm starting to get more than I did in any of the campaign or other addons without glitching the Armory.

This is what makes me a bit hesitate on Duke Nukem Forever.

Gonna join the "Daleks are not robots" club. You'd think you'd be familiar enough with a "favorite" to know that it's a living creature in a suit, just like Iron Man. ;)

Okay guys! I've been watching Dr Who since Tom Baker and since most of the enemies in the DLC are a mix of organic and claptrap parts then Dalek could be acceptable or Cybermen would be even more acceptable! (But my Who Robot favourite would have to be Kandy Man!).

Anyway, love the new DLC even if it's short (and glitchy for a Lv 61 Siren to get the collection acvmts) and based on the amount of loot chests to be found I cannot wait for the level upgrade to totally revamp all my weapon storage characters! I hope it's not the last cause I'd pay for more dlc even without attached achvmts or a sequel soon.

As insanely happy as I am that Doctor Who got a mention on there, go Daleks even if they aren't full robots, I'm still surprised HK-47 wasn't on that list.

@Doctor Who
Loved the Assassin droid in KOTOR.

Just a thought, the upcoming update is also supposed to rebalance the enemy leveling in conjunction with the extra 8 gainable levels, what will happen with Clawermex and the loot it drops? A Lv 69+ foe with lv 69 mega drops? Hopefully.

Loved playing this DLC, saved my characters so that I could play through it again with all the missions after the new update comes out.

Kind of weird, they should have just released all of this stuff at once, a lot of people including myself was a little disappointed because no level cap yet, which meant no real quality weapons, well hopefully it all changes after new update is up.

I already purchased the DLC and beat it twice and I found this review funny and spot on. Only thing I disagree with is the areas while yes they may be the same skins to some areas at least there not the 100% rehashed areas from parts of Zombie Isle. I will say that when I first stepped into the Mining area and saw the gaping chasms I said to myself wow I can't wait to fight some huge giant robot/monster in there. Sadly nothing came of it. It was just something to artificially inflate the time spent playing the game. Thanks for the review guys.
