Dead Rising 2's ZQ magazine lets you 'stay sharp, die smart'

Reviewer's guides are not uncommon for new games, but Capcom gets an A+ for the effort put into the guide for Dead Rising 2. "ZQ" is a magazine that not only offers hints and tips for a trek through Fortune City, but goes the extra mile with flavor text and advertisements that make the zombie-infested world feel entirely real.

I would never buy a guide for a game like this, but it almost looks worth it just for the entertainment factor.

Is this for sale? They called it a "reviewer's guide" - this looks like promo swag, but it does have a UPC and cover price.

err..yeah. It's nice it gets mentioned here, but how do we obtain a copy?

@Icupnimpn2 Doesn't look like an actual UPC code - for example, it's lacking guard bars in the center and at the edges, and typically the numbers are underneath to be hand-keyed in case of an unscannable barcode.

So let me get this straight, you would never buy a guide for a game that clearly needs one? Even Keiji Inafune said guides were needed.

Guides for games like this is what GameFAQs is for.

@squallgengar Official guides are cool, but they are getting pricey these days. If this was indeed five bucks I would pick it up.

Guess I didn't look close enough. This thing definitely isn't for sale, then, and probably the best place to grab a copy is on eBay if any of the reviewers feel like going grey market

Oh wow, this is hilarious.

That health and safety page is awesome.

They should have just made this the instruction booklet. They already spent the money to produce it, why not make it a hit with gamers and just include it in the box.

This is the same company that produced a black and white manual for Okami, of all games. I just done see them throwing us that nice of a bone when it comes to product packaging.
