All Fallout 3 DLC half off this week on Xbox Live Marketplace
34
As the Bethesda blog conveniently points out, the entirety of Fallout 3's downloadable addendums -- from forays into virtual Alaska to intergalactic excursions -- are half off their normal asking price this week. At 400 MS Points ($5) a pop, you'll only be $25 less prepared for Fallout: New Vegas. No worries, though -- we're pretty sure the employees at your local GameStop will happily accept Nuka Cola bottlecaps in place of US currency should you be a few pennies short come October 19.

I have the GOTY edition but this is a reminder for me to play through the Pit.
Point lookout was the most fun so far and Mothership Zeta was the worst but still a pretty good time.

I must be picking the wrong platforms. I guess Bethesda doesn't want money from PS3 owners, just like EA didn't want money from Android owners. Went to go buy Need for Speed for my Droid, and it was $9.99. On IPhone, $0.99. I really want to ask publishers what they are thinking by totally ignoring one platform while favoring another (cough Activision cough).

@Bailers77 Amen. I really don't get their thinking at all. And all of these DLC were previously discounted on XBLA once before, while PSN customers are still waiting for the same consideration for the first time. It's baffling.

Not at all baffling. Sony charges far out the ass for bandwidth costs, and its a flat rate. No discount for higher number of downloads. Microsoft subsidizes bandwidth costs with the consumers money (i.e. Xbox LIVE subscriptions)
Simply put, if you don't pay for it ain't nobody gonna pay for it.

I was thinking of finally finishing up the game and picking up the final DLC. I guess there is no time like the present…

geez, I still have yet to complete this game

So I guess I may as well abandon Fallout 3 altogether as I've only managed to play an hour of it, and just move on to New Vegas. I haven't enough free time for all the games around so sacrifices have to be made. Big sacrifices.

i want to pick these up, but do i have to complete the main quest of Fallout 3?

You only need to beat the storyline to play the Broken Steel missions. All the other DLCs, as well as certain effects of Broken Steel (such as new enemies, raised level cap) will activate at any time outside of the Vault 101 prologue.

Meh. Already got all of them. I still haven't solved that bug in the alien spaceship ending though. ...meh.

I wish they would do this for the GFWL version. I really want to finish this game by playing Mothership zeta but i don't feel like paying full price for it.

I got one of the expansions (forget which off the top of my head), but after the 100+ hours I got in, plus maxing out my level, it was just hard to imagine playing more. I hope that Vegas is more balanced, Fallout 3 just felt like it dragged on and on long after it should have ended, to the point where the finale was a major anticlimax.
