I'll take another 40 dollar re-release. Don't hate me, you've played Street Fighter and you're use to this by now.

Releasing this was the only logical thing to do.

Arcade Edition comes out in December. This will drop in April 2011. One year gap between SSF4 and a fresh $40.

I'll get the DLC for the satisfaction of being able to stomp fools with Yang just like in the good old 3rd Strike days. *nostalgia tear*

I love how Ono pressures the suits in his company to do things by publicly announcing he's fighting for it and thus getting the whole gaming community behind him.

It's cute how they're pretending this wasn't planned as DLC from the get-go.

@littletmart It probably wasn't. Remember this is Capcom here. In a perfect world, there would be no SSFIV. There'd only be SFIV + additions from SSFIV as DLC. I think the truth is that Ono realizes the market would never fall for another re-release so this is the only way to get additional income.

@YakuzaElite

If you read the article, it says it's DLC.

Just saying.

Why is the picture an awkward, after-the-fact shot of Ryu having just gotten dick-kicked by Yang?

Of course Capcom's going to pump out DLC for Street Fighter. They're Capcom after all...

lol good luck with that, the only way console owners will get that content is in the new super street fighter IV hyper edition. Hyper edition will also include 3D like the 3ds version, except of course you will require a 3D TV and glasses.

This is not surprising. Personally, I expect the balance patch to be free and the characters to be paid DLC.
