World of Warcraft: Cataclysm blows up Dec. 7

Treasure these last few months of tranquility, Azerothians. Blizzard just announced it'll all come crashing down on December 7, when World of Warcraft: Cataclysm destroys the world you've loved, leaving only destruction and a bevy of brand new adventures to be had.

You'll be able to get the new content digitally or in stores, if you like, for $40. But because you're you and Blizzard is Blizzard, there will also be a "Collector's Edition" of the expansion pack at retail for $80. The extra cash nets you [deep breath] a big art book, a commentary DVD, a soundtrack CD, a mouse pad, World of Warcraft trading cards and the "Lil' Deathwing" in-game pet. [pass out]

How I miss the days when Blizz only charged an extra 20 bones for the collectors edition.

I'm so happy I quit this last month. Sold my account for a cool $275 and bought a slim 360, to replace the 360 I sold to buy the game, expansions, and a few months of the game. Stupid decision I'm glad I rectified :x

I really hope I can keep out for good. Bought my PS3 since I quit the last time and it's been such a great time ever since then.

Besides, I don't think I can handle worldwide destruction and remodeling.
