@Sho Minamimoto because you guys keep buying stuff like "MAG" and "Warhawk" so Sony has no studios in NA left to make useful stuff

@Sho Minamimoto

Thank the way Pay TV services operate in this country.

They do not want you to own your own DVR. Sure, some people manage, anyway. I know the 360+ Uverse (which is MS's OS as well) is one option.

But I sure wish I could have this in the states. I am hoping against hope that Google TV will somehow be incorporated into the PS3 (Sony is working on a Google TV).

Will this ever come to the US or are there legal matters needing to be taken care of first.

I hate when console manufacturers do this, segments the market, I understand that some customers aren't willing to spend as much as others, but make it so you can get one system, in the color you want, with all the bells and whistles, if you're willing to pay more.

Like they have the space to need a cable extension.

Oh, right, there are other places in Japan than Tokyo, time for me to study geography (& Grammar).

That's hilarious that this far into the life of the PS3 they are just finally acknowledging that including longer charging cables might be a good idea.

For those who don't know, you can get a couple of standard USB cables (normal end to mini-end) from someplace like Monoprice for just a couple of bucks plus shipping.

You would think that Sony has Japan on lock yet they come out with exclusive stuff there instead of in the states or even Europe where it has fierce competition with the 360. I don't know man.

Cool idea, but I still say Windows Media Center FTW. If you get way into it you can get a CableCARD and have 200+ channels and record 4 shows at once. WMC also takes the stress off your console, and you can have a ton of recording space, plus the centralized DVR style system.

I still like this idea, but I prefer my set up.

Good idea, instead of the power being wasted you at least put it to good use.

They really need to let the controllers charge while the system is off. My PC charges my iPod while its off.
