Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 on sale for $10.19 on Steam for a limited time

Valve has extended a whole mess of offers for Left 4 Dead and its sequel on its Steam platform in honor of the release of "The Sacrifice" -- both titles (the latter of which just launched on Mac) are available for $6.79 each, or $10.19 together for "a limited time."

Left 4 Dead (PC and Mac) -- $6.79, down from $19.99
Left 4 Dead Four-Pack (PC and Mac, includes four copies of the game) -- $20.39, down from $59.99
Left 4 Dead 2 (PC and Mac) -- $6.79, down from $19.99
Left 4 Dead 2 Four-Pack (PC and Mac, includes four copies of the game) -- $20.39, down from $59.99
Left 4 Dead Bundle (PC and Mac, includes both Left 4 Dead games) -- $10.19, down from $29.99

That's tempting. I may just have to jump on that, though I already own them and never really play them on the 360 so I'm not sure it's worth it.

Would probably rather spend the money to get the new expansion on the 360 instead.

@The angry pro consumer gaming ga Naturally, I'd prefer the content for free but more then that, I prefer playing on console. I prefer playing my shooters with a controller. I can't hit anything with a keyboard and mouse. Oh & I my computer is a two year old Macbook Pro. It's not exactly a prime gaming machine.

Besides, I would either be paying for a second copy of games that I already own and hardly ever play or I would be paying for the expansion... Either way, I'd be paying.

Did you even read his comment? He already owns them on 360. So he can spend $7 to get the dlc that he doesn't have. Or he can spend $10 to get the 2 games that he already has?

After this I will NEVER again buy a Steam game unless it's on sale.

Haven't even played or installed the L4D I bought last time valve had a sale. Might as well buy the second one since it is so cheap.... well played valve well played.

I didn't own either and I have a bunch of friends who play, so I went for it. I mean, it's $10. I've paid more for bad Chinese takeout.

Been holding out for this, wasn't expecting such a good deal.

The great thing with Steam is that even if this doesn't work that well on my current system, I can still re-download it for a future one.

Although it won't let me pay for them atm :|

Seems like Valve is not taking too kindly to Microsoft's "No Free DLC" policy.

Holy sweet jubblin goodness, I'm jumping onto the PC bandwagon, even if I already own the two on the console.

$10 bucks for two awesome games, with better server quality, players to meet and play with, access to free extra goodies and mods and all...

$10 was worth it buy $6 is SUPER worth it. You should buy both games.

Hopefully this will reinvigorate the L4D1 community for a bit.

Generally speaking, my soapbox is that Steam downloads are a bunch of garbage data on your hard drive, that gets magically decrypted into game only by Valve's whim. Don't annoy Valve. Don't taunt Valve. And hope they never go out of business.

That said, for just shy of $7, I'm tempted. Especially since they're dragging their feet with the L4D1 mac port.

Might pick this up after all. Rented the second and played at a friends house so this might be fun.

Valve, please take another 3% off the price. It's too obvious but you didn't do it.

Microsoft does have discounts from time to time, but the problem is that they do such a poor job promoting it that no one knows about it or cares. They have a handful of great games that they can use to grab some of the PC audience, but doing so may divert players away from the 360, which would be counter-productive to the xbox department.

So how about Microsoft stop being a douche and let them just release the DLC on my god**** 360 already?

As it doesn't say in the article, I thought I'd mention - L4D2 doesn't just get the sacrifice. They also ported the No Mercy campaign from the first game over to it so you can play through it with the new weapons, items and special infected.

It's not on the Australian store? Lame-O!
