Yeah It stinks of what the hitman games did back in the xbox ps2 days where the ps2 "cheats" were free but the xbox cheats had to be purchased via micro transaction.

We as the customers really need to stand up and put our collective foot down or crap like this will never stop.... sadly most gamers posess spines made of gelatin and failure as can be referenced from the modern warfare 2 boycott.

@KingOfGods

We can thank EA for setting those trends. I still remember when they started releasing games like NFS for you to have to buy cheats...

Yes I realize that both consoles are being charged for the DLC my comparison to the Hitman days of yore was simply to point out that they didn't do it because they "needed to" they did it because they could, just as they are now.

@Scuffles

I believe its because of Microsoft not the company that made Hitman
same with the Left 4 Dead PC add-ons are free unlike the Xbox ones.

@Quayle Nah the Hitman cheats were exactly that game cheats, they were included on the disk. The only differance between the PS2 and Xbox versions was that the Xbox at that point supported micro transactions where the PS2, not so much. There was no legitimate reason not to include the cheats on the 360 version save they wanted to see if they could push people.

Companies are like poorly trained dogs...

If you don't correct them when they get up on the counter and eat sneak your food ..... then don't be surprised that the second you turn around your sandwich is gone. Who do you blame when a dog is ill behaved .... the owner and in this case the customer base. For not growing a pair.

I hope to see a future where gamers rebel against overpriced DLC and pay for "enhancements" or unlockables by refusing to purchase games when they come out and waiting for the final GOTY or Complete version. The generation of consoles that can easily download a $2 outfit for your SFIV character is ruining the value of games.

EA is one of the worst at this where every sports game comes with about $30 of unlocked cheats.

$2 a piece so the devs can adjust some in-game variables for you. If they weren't trying to steal your money they could've made sliders in the options menu for that.

I find that this headline is much funnier when you remove the commas: "Dead Rising 2 offering Psycho Ninja Sports Soldier DLC to all, for a price"

Wow. Capcom comes up with some of the silliest stuff as paid DLC.

It's almost balanced by the sweet price they put on Case Zero...almost.

Some people are saying that this is like paying for cheats, but regular free cheats would disable trophies, and these will not. I'm not saying that they are worth $2, but they might be worth it to some people who need help and still want trophies.

Wait.. . Stealth Mode?

There's a Stealth Mode?

I've been playing the game for a week and I had no idea. Is that always available or do you have to unlock it by leveling up?

I bought my game at Best Buy and it came with the Sports Fan costume. I equipped it and grabbed a baseball bat. I think I saw an icon in my inventory showing that my bat had extra durability. I combined the bat with nails and it went away. Maybe it was unrelated to the sports pack because I did have a few magazines in my inventory, but I wonder if it doesn't count the weapon combos for the bonuses that you get?

How about a "no time" mode? This game really begs for a mode for just fooling around.

Dear God this would be awesome. I'm tired of this archaic time limit system. A game that stresses creativity and screwing around, yet imposes some old school time limit? At least make the missions untimed until you reach a checkpoint WITHIN the mission. IMO, this is the biggest flaw with this game.

@(Unverified) You don't have to do the missions. You can just fool around without worrying about anything as much as you like, and as long as you save it your progress will carry forward whenever you feel like doing the missions in a new game.

@Benjamin It's not the same. If I do that I'd be constantly thinking that I missed something, that I failed at something. A "no time" mode or just a "survival" mode to explore and fool around without time constraints, would make it a much, much better game for me. Heck, I even would overlook the awful loading times, since I wouldn't need to be constantly racing from area to area.
