Kingdom Hearts Re: coded being re: leased January 11

Square Enix has announced the release date of Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded, for those of you who have devoured Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep already and are eagerly awaiting your next fix of spiky haired Disney fanfic. The publisher will release the prettied-up DS port of the mobile game on January 11, 2011.

New Yorkers will be able to get their hands on Jiminy Cricket's journal (or, rather, inhabit it as Sora) this weekend. Re: Coded will be playable at Square Enix's New York Comic-Con booth, #1823.

I can see what will happen next year, after the release we get, SE will announce a "final mix" version of the game, which will have all our content plus crap we'll never get like an awesome movie or a boss fight.

yea, so? our version is already a "final mix" version to the japanese, and so what if theres a new video in the final mix? itll be on youtube within hours of the game being out

Actually, the Japanese version of Re:Coded comes out tomorrow, so they still get everything we get but months before us.

ok, i dont know if the US version of re: coded will have anything extra, but just saying, that the reason they release a "final mix" version of every other KH game is because the english versions of the games always had tons of extra stuff added to them that werent in the original japanese releases, so they throw in ALL the extra content we got, plus throw in 1 or 2 extra videos we can easily get on youtube. The japanese versions always come out months before the english, which is why our version has extra content, because they had all that time

Wow...this makes me realize how long it's been since I've played as Sora.

Compared to BBS, these screens look like crap, although I guess that's just a hardware difference.

well, BBS was a PSP game, and this is a DS game, which was ported from mobile phones, so.....not gonna be the best graphically, especially not at that size. prolly looks better on the small DS screens

You obviously haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about. Kingdom Hearts Re:coded is the mobile game remade for the DS with better gameplay.
Kingdom Hearts 3D isn't Kingdom Hearts 3 or "Kingdom Hearts 2 re:coded" it's a new game entirely.

Wow, that's the first Kingdom Hearts game I've played where all the Final Fantasy characters don't look overly chibi.

Keep telling yourself that. The portable games are far more profitable than console games for Square Enix's case. You'll see the "actual" Kingdom Hearts 3 on a 3DS more likely than on a PS3.

Who knows, maybe Final Fantasy XV will be for 3DS, along with Dragon Quest X (currently slated for Wii, but things change).

Kingdom hearts 3 will be on a home console, the guy who makes the home console ones has already said he wants to make KH3 and will be doing so when he has finished what he is doing. KH is now a falgship series for square-enix so they will want a big budget home release at some point to keep pushing it forward.
