Wii Remote Plus dated for Japan, bundled with Wii Sports Resort
22
The Wii Remote Plus, which almost unimaginably crams MotionPlus tech into a standard-sized Wiimote, has been dated and priced for Japan. The controller will be released on November 11 for ¥3,800 ($46) -- the same price as the normal Wiimote -- and will be available in five colors: white, black, blue, red and pink. A red Nunchuk will be released, as well.
The old Wiimote will ostensibly be phased out, as Nintendo will also begin bundling the Wiimote Plus with Wii systems on the same day. Additionally, Andriasang reports that the Wii Sports Resort bundle, which originally included the MotionPlus attachment, will feature the Wiimote Plus beginning on -- you guessed it -- November 11. The bundle will retail for ¥5,800 ($70).

@nighttime The extension port is being phased out also, as there will be a patch soon that actually integrates both the nunchuk and the classic controller into the wiimote as well.

Great! I'm glad I never bought more than 1 motion plus attachment.

This should help as it makes the MotionPlus accessory standard now. That's one of the reasons addons fail. Only a few companies adopt them, and since not all of your customers buy it, it doesn't make sense to support it. Game developers supporting it, that is.
I just think it's too late in the life of the Wii for this to make any difference.

I wish that this product would come with motion plus built in. I tried it at my friends house and it feels much better than the standard size wiimotes, even in horizontal position. But no point in buying one until they build in the plus

I wonder if now, that the add on is built into the wiimote itself, if that it still requires all the "recalibration" from time to time.

Alert me when there are gree wiimotes, but I might get the black and/or red one if I get a game that needs motion+ before the green one comes out.

Nice, especially that it'll be the same price as the normal Wii Remote.
