I loled at this but...

"Violence is considered a perfectly appropriate and normal part of what we give our kids to see starting from a very young age."

If he says that and we loose I'm personally going to find and castrate him for ruining the industry. And yes, if we loose this case it will ruin the industry.

@chrisgrant Is that book a compelling argument? It looks pretty sweet.

@chrisgrant

Oh, if only I had money of some sort. I have read some overviews of what Mr. Jones has to say on the subject. It's something I find important to know about considering I plan on going into the field of Game Design and knowing what people are going to say about what you do and how to respond to it is a big deal.

I'm not arguing against the statement, I'm simply saying that the statement is fairly easy to argue against. It's the sort of thing that people will pick up and blow out of proportion. Imagine what someone like Fox News or CNN, that want to support their agenda and draw in viewers respectively, would do with something like that take out of context. It's the sort of thing that people get invited into rooms to shout about on national television.

With the video game industry's apparent lack of ability to respond to attacks, outside of their own game specific media outlets, it could wind up doing a lot of harm.

All that being said I probably could have formulated a more mature response, but hey.

Simulated murder is my favorite kind, which let me tell you is as enjoyable as actual murder but with none of the mess.

I'm unsure where this article is trying to go with this, but I must say this:

If violence isn't perfectly normal than I guess our ancestors never hunted/ were hunted, or waged war prior to 1992 (Mortal Kombat).

I guess all that's just made up & supermarkets always existed.

I can definitely get in the swoon here (although all the man crushes are just so amusing to me). I also feel way better knowing this guy is doing the arguing! Human nature and first amendment, here we come!

Though you're joking, it will be nice to have names and identities to put with the faces when I go watch this next month at the Supreme Court.
