I can't wait to play this with the Move. I don't have a 3D TV yet... still waiting for the tech to become standardized and the prices to come down.

Same here. I'm having a great time playing MAG with Move, when SOCOM 4 comes out I'll have both my FPS and TPS needs filled with Move support and by the same studio!

Albeit different teams work on the two games....

That's great to hear that MAG works well with Move. I'll pick up the greatest hits version when it comes out.

A lot of people are very interested in 3D and will buy in once prices go down and the glasses are standardized (it's amazing they aren't already... Sony and Samsung could fix this quickly and sell more product).

This is a great example of a use of 3D that will be extra non-gimmicky.

Yeah it works great, but now the knife is a gesture instead of a button. But that's fine with me because I actually like to shoot my enemies in a shooter.

One question I'd love ask developers with motion controls : Why not make the motion controls move the crosshair normally like a joystick or a mouse? Is there some unwritten rule that motion aiming has to be all over the screen without moving your camera until it's at the edge? Although MAG and other games let you mess with the turning boxes, it's still an odd thing. This is all the Wii's fault!

The prices are about as low as they are going to get for a tv worth owning. Panisonic and Samsung both have Mid level 3dtvs for under 2 grand. But take it from an early adopter, right now and for at least another few years, 3d sucks. most 3d content just makes what ever your watching feel like your viewing it through a fish tank and everything else just randomly throws crap at the screen. I haven't played any 3d games on it yet, but I finding it really hard to get excited about 3d right now

What a surprise.... haterade from someone who apparently doesn't like the PS3. How strange. It's almost as surprising as... A 3D mode for a PS3 game. Isn't that weird?

I don't hate the PS3, I hate 3D in general & how much Sony is pushing it. It's nothing revolutionary, it's a gimmick.

I hope that the character models in the game don't look as much like clay as they do in the one above. I got that same vibe from Medal of Honor and I'm not a huge fan of it.

Yea so if the cost of a 3D TV is no more than $300-400 more than the TV without next year than I may pull the trigger...it's just getting hard at this point not to....I have already been seeing cheaper prices on the glasses....

Same here, I think if the prices drop I may go with a 3D TV when I upgrade instead of a normal HDTV. It also depends on the price of the Quatron TVs, which I've been eying and are at around the same price. Depends on which one I think I'll get more use out of. I'm predicting the Quatrons to be cheaper, but we'll just have to wait and see.

They need to support DLP Link so that the millions of 3d Ready TV's already out there can argue the case for 3D adoption.

That way your friends come over and say THAT LOOKS AWESOME! How much are the glasses, you coolly respond well these are forwards compatible with the new TV's and only cost me $77 shipped. Then when they go shopping they see the newer TV's and figure, well if those older projection TV's look this good the newer tech must be even better! Chaching!

This way potential customers are infected with the idea by their own friends instead of feeling that 3D is "being shoved down their throat". It's also helpful if they ease into the thing with non-rapery prices look at the latest free to play mmo successes. The year is twenty ten buyer psychology has changed. Frontal attacks may work. However they are costly and build resentment among the consumer base.

Hell I'm all over 3d but the way that Samsung and Sony has been acting lately is making it less likely that I will upgrade to their brand of 3D. It's clear the lack of support is all about product positioning and trying to coerce the consumers to upgrade. They will try to explain this away by using phrases like "Standardizing means less confusion for the consumer". When really if they were at all interested they would inform the user. If my glasses work on my tv AND theirs and the only reason why some software won't display in 3d because of a CODING issue instead of HARDWARE COMPATIBILITY then clearly Sony is expecting us to sit on a rusty tin can sideways with a splash of lime.

If you can sell a six-axis with a multicolor led under an ORB for Forty Five Fricking Dollars! I'm sure you can make a reasonably priced hardware adapter to handle any "software issues". Tru3d does it for under $279. SURELY the great Sony can do it for under $99. Or JUST GIVE US A FIRMWARE UPDATE! Derrrrrrrrrrrr. You can have be Free for your Plus subscribers and price rape everyone else like ya want to!

Hell I might even look into that 3d cable tv stuff and I haven't watched cable FOR YEARS!

Speaking of peripherals it kills me that people that on the PS Eye will pay around 80-90 bucks for one player to use the MOVE functionality, but after spending 600-1600 bucks or so for a 3D TV balk at glasses that cost the same as Move does per player.

I rant because I care.

Oh yeah here's some help for those DLP 3D ready TV's. First of all they are pretty reasonably priced right now. Mitsubishi offers an adapter (Ie supports adopters of their tech) so all hope is not lost. If you have a Samsung tru3d sells an adapter and if you use some googlefu you'll find many helpful threads on how to get set up. Basically since firmware 3.5 didn't do crap for us, you need to take your ps3 to bestbuy(They've been REEALLY awesome about this) and plug it into a 3d tv to enable 3d-out from the ps3 that goes through the converter. This unlocks all the 3d-games on psn as they can now recognize your tv is 3d capable.

Seems like an awful lot of BS considering I can just throw in Avatar into my PS3, plug the hdmi out from my onkyo into the hdmi/dvi in on my Sammy and play in 3d with no converters, set-up issues, best buy trips, emitter boxes etc.

My glasses are Optoma ZD101 DLP Link. And they are awesome! I wear glasses too by the way.

Also don't just take the word of some internet dude. Do your own research. I'm telling you though I'm hooked! I just wish the powers that be weren't so heavy handed and took a more organic and natural path towards convincing us to adopt.

Everygame since the release of the API should support custom soundtracks.... GTA4s music was so bad I play it on mute

@Extinction At the very least, all RPG's and Racing games it should be a mandatory feature. I'm just happy Bejeweled 2 finally supports it so I can stand to play it more.

Also my SO corrected me on future proofed glasses. He doesn't think it exist yet, then he got technical on me explaining how dlp link should be able to be used by any tv as the sync is done by brightness or something. He also said he got them for $74 shipped.

I have a PS3, the MOVE, and a 3DTV. Yes, I love technology and now I have no money. But this game is like all these technologies rolled into one. I wasn't paying as much attention to it before, but now it has my full attention.

I'm planning on getting a 3DTV very soon, so I'm really looking forward to trying these games out! I hate how 3D on televisions currently works (with battery powered glasses that people have the balls to charge 150 plus dollars for), but 3D movies are amazing and I can only imagine how awesome it will be to play all these games that are coming out that support 3D. I just wish the 3DTVs that don't require glasses will come out and drop down in price soon! Then 3DTVs will really catch on.
