Haven't seen that, but have heard the legends. The horrible, horrible legends.
But yeah, I generally caution people to be careful when making superlative statements about "strange" or "disturbing" when it comes to anime.

I saw this the other day on Newgrounds.
There was a point when the "Awesome" series was really funny, but now the author ha indulged himself in crass frat boy humor that is no longer funny (lookin at you Family Guy).
I get what he was going for with the vid and he admits to not playing Reach, but it wasn't funny...there was no joke there.

That was obviously the joke he was going for, but just about every AAA videogame gets that kind of hype these days, so its nothing new and is sort of trite to make fun of that kind of hype.
And yes, I do read political cartoons on a regular basis, but I also know what I like in humor, and Ergoraptor's humor has lost me recently. I completely understand that not everyone has the same sense of humor.

...Wait, is something wrong with political cartoons, now? Granted, they aren't always that funny, but they usually do a good job of conveying complex ideas very simply. But I guess political relevance isn't "cool."

Political cartoons are usually seen as elitist humor.
Since I referred to the animation here as frat boy humor that is more than likely the opposite end of the spectrum from what political cartoons are viewed as.
There are a lot of political cartoons that don't have a lot of humor in them, but pretend to be funny just because the drawing is an allegory or metaphor.
