VGCatz gets the obligatory vote from me.

Sure, it takes then 8 months to crank out one strip, but when they do...

I almost went for No Cash Value, just because of Patrick Stewart, but then I remembered how much I love Myst.

Muppets vs. Hobbits wins! I want this to be real.
Actually Muppets vs. Fraggles would be a more appropriate license.
Besides, the whole CSI: Caruso joke from VG Cats was pretty old a long time ago.
It's like when you come across somebody that still says "Don't go there!"

Virtual Shackles got my vote, I felt that issue definitely became more controversial then it had to be when the game was boycotted on military bases

still no need to censor it. are we going to deny that we're fighting the taliban?

I don't think anyone's denying that we're fighting the Taliban, but does EA really have anything important to say on the subject?

they're trying to make it seem realistic (well, as realistic as it can be without ruining the fun) and that's what they're always saying in the advertising. at least its more than what the war typically gets in the media.

You sound like you took a bit too much offense from my comment, I'm not saying it was necessarily a bad decision for the AAFES to ban the game from military bases but I think If I served in Afghanistan I would like to have the choice of what games I could buy without going out of my way to get a copy.

I just think purchasing a game should be the choice of an individual (or an individuals father/mother if he's a minor) and not the choice of the government. Simple as that.

Still needs more Manly Guys Doing Manly Things. Seriously.

Although the last two weren't video gamey (a 4-chan joke and a pop-culture joke), most of them are based on games. GET ON IT JOYSTIQ.

That was nicely drawn and funny.

Joystiq needs to update their RSS feed to include some more funny gaming comics instead of half those on the list.

I don't get no cash value...Are they clones, brothers or just a way of having to do a lot less drawing since they're both the same in appearance?

Also BiTF sucks again. Talk about jumping on the cardboard box jokes bandwagon 12 years too late.

I guess Penny Arcade just gets my sense of humor, and happens to have a visual style I don't happen to be immediately turned away from (like a couple of other strips I consistently see on the webcomic wrapups).

Didn't even have to look at the rest. I salute you, Joystiq, for putting that one on top of the list and saving me time that I could use wisely, like writing a comment about how much arse that VG Cats comic kicked...

Joystiq, I just realised.
There is no way to see the results without voting. Would you be able to fix that, or at the very least add a candy option?

They do it so you won't be an asshat bandwagon voter. But tell me more about this candy you speak of.

@A Sandwich

It's a Whirlpool tradition.

""In the old days..." Whirlpool used to have small polls on the right hand side of the front page (like the MSN polls), made by Simon. Each poll usually included an option called "Candy!" (or "I want Candy", etc.). It was a humorous way of including an option that meant "I'm undecided", "I have no opinion" or "There's no option that suits me" (or "I'm very trigger happy and just want to vote anyway"!).

In addition, one wouldn't be able to view the results of a poll without voting in it – therefore, the Candy option provided a way to see the poll results without having to select a "real" option, which would sway the vote."

It stops the asshat bandwagon voters and at the same time lets you look at the results without really voting. Would be a good tradition for Joystiq to adopt.

but seriously Rob Ford is the worst choice.

That being said, I love Myst and PA's comic hit a chord. Virtual Shackles was also very dark humor. Loved it.
