I use PS1 games mostly on my PSP and it has SOOOOO many quality JRPGs already. the PSP is a JRPG DREAM handheld at this point in its life.

I'm not super familiar with these titles, I wonder if they're bringing much to the table given the PSPs current library... From the reviews of PS1 flavors it sounds like Alundra may be a really worthwhile title.

Yes! I was just thinking about these two exact games recently, and lamenting that they were not available on Goozex!

This made my Thanksgiving!

Is this just the first Arc the Lad? I wonder why they wouldn't release all three of them. The first is essential to understand the story, but it's really the worst of them all. Not to mention really short.

Not that I'm complaining. It's definitely worth paying $6 for. Absolutely.

Yea the first was really short.... they should at least have two along with it, since they kind of are the same story. Heck woulda been cooler if they just released the collection as one game....

I loved Alundra 2, and now I'll finally get the chance to play the first one. :)

Played and LOVED the original Alundra. It's a fun zelda clone with an interesting storyline. Went on to play Alundra 2 and HATED it. It was very different from the first game. Completely different combat, storyline had nothing to do with the original, visuals were way different. Not even sure why it was considered a sequel.

Not to say you won't like the original Alundra (I sure did), but don't even try and compare it to Alundra 2. Apples & oranges.

@ChillyWilly Well then I'll love both. Alundra 2 was one of my favorite PSX games. The only thing I could really hate about it were the last few dungeons, lol.

Don't worry, you'll love Alundra. I played Alundra 2 first, and while I enjoyed it - loved it like my child for a few years of my life - Alundra is one of the greatest games I've ever played. To this day, I still push Alundra to anyone who has never played it. Absolutely amazing game. I will buy this, without a doubt.

Can't you get a NA card + account and buy it off of our store? I've been thinking about getting Vagrant Story from EU, since I'm a little tired of waiting, and I've heard it works fine that way at least. A bit of a hassle, but if it's important to you, it's probably worth it.

Never heard of these games...maybe I'll try them out. I wish they would release Clock Tower. One of my most memorable ps one games. That and not sucky Japanese imports. Those that they have now freaking suck. And one of them is just...disturbing. And by disturbing I mean naked men flying around.

I'd start by saying calm the F down. Then I'll follow up with another question. Does Europe work off the ESRB? No? That's odd. So a different ratings system would effect regional releases... odd. People assume an ESRB rating is a charity, which it is not. Just as the PEGI rating isn't a free process. So how about, before this company prematurely overstretches their limited resources before any returns can come in, we all just calm down and let Vic Ireland prove he knows at least a little on what he's doing. After all, this time he can't delay Lunar 2 three years because of F'ing hand puppets...

Of course if you're truly desperate, rather than steal and use the region availability as an excuse (does that mean free Vagrant Story for all Americans?), why don't you play the role of clever little monkey and buy a US PSN card? That is how I snagged a few recent Japanese PSN releases.

But stealings just easier... I understand. And the best way to keep a company taking risks in business is of course to steal from them. That way, when/if it does come to your region, you have the "I already played and beat this" excuse to keep delaying the purchase.

It continues to astound me that most PS1 games are a mere $5.99 AND can be played portably. Meanwhile Nintendo wants $7 for a Super Nintendo game and you can't put it on your DS. I may have to pick one of these up, who can resist those prices?

Well to be somewhat fair, most of the good ps1 games are $10. But still, that's an awesome deal!

@Chazzr Or you could make a US PSN account and buy internationally. No region locking and all that.

Alundra was awesome - if a tad tough at times. Arc the Lad I enjoyed too. Even managed to do the bonus dungeon (had 100 floors I think).

I beat the original Alundra 1 back in the day...

...and I have to say that game had some of THE most evil Zelda type puzzles I've ever experienced.

Alundra! That game had a pretty impressive packaging on PS1. 1-disc game in a multi-disc jewel case just to fit the manual, which was mostly just art. If you can stomach the price, you should eBay it instead, as all PS3's are BC with PS1 discs, and it's a nice addition to any collection on the shelf.
