Getting sick of Fable's cinematics and gimmicky gameplay videos. Sure, they look pretty, and exciting, but I'd rather not be hyped up for a game that ends up having terrible glitches and horrendous combat. (Fable 2 Anyone?)

Any word on whether the "One Button Combat" is returning full form?
I've watched every Fable III video thus far, and I'm not sure If I've seen anything about gameplay yet...
At least the voice talent is awesome.

@mat1cs Xbox live orbs. If enabled, would freeze up your game after about 3 seconds after load. I believe they fixed them, but it took them way too long and made the game unplayable for some time.
Seriously? I got 1 stared for stating truth? Don't get me wrong, I thought Fable 2 was great, and Fable (1) is just fantastic, but Fable 2's combat was so imbalanced. I know balanced combat doesn't mean much for a single player game, but still, You really only used 1 or 2 skills because the rest were garbage.

I felt the combat WAS balanced, but overtly simplistic, and lacking any type of strategy.
Magic was the only skill which supplied much variety with different types spells, but with the exception of the "Time Warp" move, not much was used other than the simple Fireball & Lightning attacks.
I'd be very disappointing if Lionhead brought the same rehashed combat system to Fable 3, despite it "working" for Fable 2.

There's more strategy this time but its still one button combat:
It has assassins creed style combo presses (which change tempo depending on your wep/warping) and hold to block. The animations are way more fluid when switching. Didn't get much time to test out the magic (only played the first 15 mins).

I appreciate the feedback. I'd be interested to know much the "tempo" changes based on direction & combo... but I guess I'll find out soon.

I think Mr Moleneux may finally have got off that hype train he seemed to be glued to.. I've barely heard anything from him since it's announcement! At least no one can complain about his 'false promises'.. Though they probably maybe definitely will..

I saw him 2 weeks ago at Eurogamer. Trust me he's as enthusiastic as ever.
And I played the first 15 minutes of the game, the graphical style is more "cartoony" for lack of a better word. As far as the combat goes, its definitely deeper, but if you are looking for an overhaul of the one button style, you won't find it here.
The morality choices are a lot tougher. I actually had to pause for a second when they hit you with that bombshell they keep talking about 10 minutes in (but I won't spoil).

Very nice. I'm wrapping up a 3rd playthrough of Fable 2 right now, and am excited that I will soon be playing the (from the looks of it) much improved Fable 3 next week.

It really would have been great if, amidst all that slow-mo, someone would have yelled "hello chicken chaser!" and completely broken the dramatic tone they were trying to set. Can't wait for this game. Between Fable 3 and Fallout New Vegas I will be busy gaming for quite some time.
