Wow, that's huge news. Last I heard was that Paxton was was developing his own non-mod game (I think a full fledged FFH) but the financing fell through after quite a bit of work.

And now he's the lead on Elemental. Not a pleasant situation to step into, but seems right up his ally to be sure.

I also expect his salary will be quite competitive to others, since he's essentially just starting out, but has already proven himself.

@Crayola Q Pants ESQ I really enjoyed Fall from Heaven in both of its incarnations. Part of the reason I Was excited for this game was because of it's interesting ties to that MOD.

I was trolling around wondering if there was going to be a new MOD done for Civ 5 based on Fall from Heavens MOD but had not been able to dig anything up.

Heard anything more?

Exciting news, with two MODers heading two large games these days. (This and civ 5)

Ah, there it is.
I haven't heard anything about a FFH mod, as I expect people were waiting for Paxton to do it. Now that he's gone corporate (in a good way), there could be an attempt made by someone else.

Still, I think the mod community will take a while to put out anything meaty, given that there's still quite a lot of major patching Civ 5 requires... and that can always set modders back quite a bit. Most mods out at the moment are game fix mods.
