Linkin Park DLC, album bonus announced for Guitar Hero and DJ Hero

You're seething with angst that can only be expressed through rap-rock. Activision completely understands. That's why the company is releasing a six-pack of songs from Linkin Park's new "A Thousand Suns" album (cover image above) on October 19 as Guitar Hero DLC. In addition, a set of three remixed Linkin Park songs will be available this winter in DJ Hero 2.

If you'd like to hear the rest of that album, you can get a free copy with orders of Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock or DJ Hero 2 from Amazon, between "12:01am PST on October 17 and 11:59pm PST on October 23." This is the second free album to be bundled with Warriors of Rock! In the future, our entire music library will consist of freebies from Activision.

@PR0F3TA The mixes of The Catalyst I have heard are almost devoid of guitars, they have gone techno...well... moreso than before. Losing what little bit of appreciation I had for their music. Most of it was gone from the last album.

Wow! So this is the best Activision can come up with to battle Rock Band, which just this week has released the entire "Are You Experienced" Hendrix album, will be giving away 3 Doors songs for free when RB3 comes out along with 9 other Doors songs that will be released; and that there will be a Bon Jovi greatist hits pack coming out a week or 2 after that. So GH decides to release songs from the WORST LP album.

Linkin park is a pretty cool band. Don't understand the rage. Sure, a few of their songs are screamy, and one or two ARE borderline "MOMMY WHY DONT YOU LOVE ME!?!?!", but overall, first two albums are good music for when you just want loud music.

Minutes to midnight was F$*@ing wierd though. Some songs were still old linkin park, but half of the thing was oddly mellow.
