"We hope you didn't have an urgent need for a Waluigi doll."

Now I do! Damn it Joystiq, it's all your fault!

Man, I wish I had some Waluigi dolls to put on eBay! Their value will surely skyrocket until the Nintendo store reopens!

My guess: A few free event Pokemon, and perhaps they'll go the everyone-friendly (kid/family friendly sound too negative) route and have someone dressed in a Mario costume walk around shaking hands and what not.

@acefondu

"It's not out yet" seems to be the biggest reason, really.

@Mach2

They had demo models at E3 dude. The thing does exist to at least try out.

@acefondu Seriously. They keep saying how they need to get it into the hands of consumers for us to realize how much we need the 3DS, so why not a couple of demo units, each strapped to a model given a taser gun for her own protection?

I get that the 3DS isn't due here until March, but I'd like to think they could spare at least a couple of the units they showed off at E3.

I still remember going there when it was still the Pokemon Center. The awesome animatronic Charizard (and all the other animatronics) in the window were taken out when it was made into Nintendo World. No good reason to either since that space is just blank now. :(

I hope it's really remodeling. My sister-in-law works in New York and says that several stores around Manhattan have been closing for "remodeling" when in actuality they are dealing with the bed bug infestation that exists in New York city.

@Anticrawl - No, s/he means bedbugs. Yes, they are a real species. They are one of the normal hazards of living in and around NYC.

It's been over 4 years now since I've been to the nintendo world store, I'll have to come up with some excuse to take a trip to NY once it opens up again. (I lost my awesome triforce pin the other year too...)

I was just there this past weekend, too! Thought it was weird that most of the Pokedolls in the Pokemon area were of Jigglypuff and a blue one (can't remember which), but I guess this explains it. I'm all for a renovation just as long as the Pokedoll situation goes back to normal :P

Is the look going to change? I mean, the white and blue Apple-esque aesthetic is still their thing right now, would remodeling include a new theme? Revival of red logo, plz?
