Red Dead Redemption's 'Undead Nightmare' begins October 26

Is Red Dead Redemption getting a bit stale? It's going to be a lot more stale come October 26 -- so stale it's rotten, in fact. That's when all the deceased cowpokes, banditos and even varmints rise from their graves in the Undead Nightmare DLC.

The pack will run you $10 on Xbox 360 and PS3, and will give you "5–12 hours" worth of zombie-shooting, coffin-burning, ex-horse-riding fun. For more information about what you'll actually be doing (besides screaming in a gentlemanly Southern accent), we invite you to peruse our preview.

Excellent. This DLC sounds a lot more interesting than the other packs so far. Hopefully Rockstar develop more single-player DLC, perhaps on the scope of GTA IV's.

Looks great, cant wait to play it. I saw a short fat zombie wobbling around looking like Snookie.

One week after Fallout, and the same day as Rock Band and Fable. I guess I'll just quit my job now.

I am SO with you in that boat! Looking at $300+ for RB3 junk and then Fable 3, Fallout Vegas, not to mention trying to finish up Castlevania and so forth.

God, I need to get out more.

Why so late in Oct??....there's no point in shooting zombies in November.....maybe a thanksgiving dlc??? Shoot the turkey pack??..better late than never I guess

I'm pretty sure he gets it. His point would be that the October 26th release date only gives 5 days of play before Halloween is over. For me October first is when i start getting into the Halloween mood so it would've been great to play this thru the month.

It was fun at Comic Con....but they stole special infected from Left 4 Dead. There's a spitter, a boomer (I think it explodes, I forgot, but its name is the "Bruiser"), and a Hunter (named "crawler", it doesn't land on you and eat you, but it does crawl on the ground and knock you down). But I think it's going to be very glitchy because of all those special close quarters kills.

Though I can't help but wonder when this Zombie craze will die down, and what will replace it.

I hope it's pirates. You know, the good kind of pirates. Not the poor guy living at home and can't afford to buy games kind of pirate.

the whole pirates vs. ninjas meme is not only far less appealing, but never made any sense to me.

We do need a next-gen ninja game though aside from Ninja Gaiden.

I think the zombie thing will be around for a while. The whole appeal of zombies is that they aren't "human", they are seen more as monsters. So people get to mutilate and slaughter them in many different ways without too much of the bad publicity that sticks to other games.
