@BlackedOut Absolutely. Trying to recover production costs? This is like being slapped in the face! I am outraged and somewhat hungry.

@xXHexagonXx

Noones talking about move. But, fine. fine.

$209 = two moves, the eye, a decent move game, charger, and the nav con. With many current games getting move functionality, plus a few decent games next year coming for it (Sorcery and The Fight says hi)

Not to mention the charger and the navcon are OPTIONAL, so its $150 and.. guess what? YOU GET A GAME, THATS GOOD.

$150 = ..something to use for movies and menus That'll always just sit there, cause theres not one single decent game coming for it except Dance Central. But that is not my kind of game.

A very useful update if a company wanted to make an adult oriented video game, they could even fit in the "Saturday morning cartoons position" of being upside down on the couch

This is good news; I just found out I'm getting a Kinect for Christmas! There's not really any games that I am interested in yet, but I think my wife and kid will love it. Plus, I hope that it gets plenty of buyers, because I would love to see Kinect integrated into my FPS's smartly.

That woman in the middle looks more like she's listening to Limp Bizkit - Rollin' than playing Kinect

@Petebot330

I believe what you were looking for was, "She can roll my limp bizkit any time", or "My bizkit isn't limp after looking at her". Or something that at least made some sense...

The fact that they didn't already have this included is telling. Did they not think some people might want to sit way ahead of time?

@Lerkero

Do you think maybe they didn't know exactly how to implement it at the time of release and didn't expect people would want to sit playing something that uses the body much almost immediately after release?

You know alpha, beta, etc. Were you born fully potty trained, hmm?
Anyway, at E3 they had it implemented already - only now it is better even with wacky poses...

Seems like the point has been missed. Microsoft has been demoing Kinect for well over a year and a half. yet...

"Previously, individual developers could still edit their own recognition systems in (and the previous version of the system worked just fine for most types of sitting), but this is a change to the base recognition system that Microsoft is building. So it can see you even better."

Microsoft changed the BASE recognition system. It wasn't there already. I am saying that they should have thought about including that from the beginning. They danced around the issue of being able to sit and play Kinect for the longest time and now suddenly a few weeks before Kinect is released they have this update.

Yeah, evidentally it worked for me too. I was in the process of downloading it when I was reading that it was just episode 1. But it was the full game, and that makes me happy.

"No idea what they'd use that pose for, but they could do it."

Simple: If I were in charge of a Kinect game, that achievement would be called "Kickin' it old school!" or "Kickin' it REALLY old school!".

So it actually still doesn't work for sitters or black people. I thought they said that this was just a rumor / myth like 6 months ago... :|
