Congrats Sony!

I'm surprised they got so many people to invest in it. Let's see if it keeps selling down the line.

Kinect, you're up!

@Brother Unit No 4 I think sales can only get better.

I want Move but the current lineup isn't enough. I get that they went casual with the offerings and patched hardcore games to cover their bases but that's not good enough for me.

I'll buy Move when there are great hardcore games for it; and right now that's looking like the pressure's on Sly, KZ3 and LBP2.

@JONNNathannn Also, I want 'hardcore' games that are Move only. The ones you list I will be using a DS3 :-\ Maybe some LBP2

@Drew327 I'm all for "hardcore" games having Move support but why make it Move only? I think it's nice that they have games that support both options. It gives both types of players a chance to experience the game.

I bet if we saw Call of Duty jumping on the Move wagon it would Sony would sell more units.

@Voshempa I would like them to be Move only, because it would imply the game takes advantage of what it has to offer. If you offer both control schemes, why would you choose the one with lag? (unless you are uncoordinated) I am interested in Killzone 3 but there is very little chance I play it with Move

@Drew327 I see. For me, I still prefer both worlds, but not in a way where one would be "tacked" on. Development time make take a bit longer but I think it'd be worth it.

As for lag, are you talking about online? I haven't experienced any lag with Move. And if it is for online, I think they'll have that figured out since MAG and KZ3 will be using it there.

Too bad Sony tracked each component seperately and combined that in their statement.

1.5 Million Move in europe, could be 500k Ps Eye, 500k Move controllers, and 500k Move nunchuck look alikes. Or some other combination.

Can't expect Sony to be honest.

No you are wrong

Move sales = any sale that involves the wand

be it the Wand by itself a Wand + Eye Bundle or a Playstation Wand Bundle

@Drew327 As far as anyone knows, Sorcery is going to use Move only. Sorcery is looking pretty dang good if they can get all the bugs worked out. But, if its running as it was demoed at E3 at least, that's not bad. Though a steady framerate and anti-aliasing is going to be pretty good too to give a clean and smooth run. That will be a Move only game so, does that do it for ya?

It should. Move is amazing, I absolutely love it. Sports Champions, a game I thought i'd hate, is straight up awesome. RE5 also plays the way it should. Tumble is a great puzzle game that shows off the tech well.

I think word of mouth is going to make this a big hit, everybody i know that has one loves it. It's sort of like what we all thought the wii was going to be when it came out, but wasn't... here, though, the tech lives up to the hype.

Might fine sales for Move then.

I am just interested in how it will stack up this month and next, since, as far as I am aware, there are no huge Move titles being released*, and there are a lot of "AAA" titles being released, such as New Vegas and Black Ops, which don't use it, and thus gives little incentive for someone to buy it at the moment.

Hope it keeps selling well though, I love my Move and I hope more buy and enjoy it.

*I could be very wrong however on this point.

I agree with you, I dont want the MOVE to go the Wii Route, and simply cater for party games, and the like - if that happens, just like the Eye, it will become a non-sensical piece of tech that I own, but hardly use.

Tiger Woods, KZ3, LBP, MAG 2.0 and Socom. Not enough Sony. You have to push for more inclusion in almost every game, some sort of MOVE controls.

Otherwise, it will go the way of the Eye. Underused piece of tech.

Its a nice accessory and surprisingly start the party was the must have game for me instead of sports champion as I thought it would be. After playing the demo with my mates I went out and got it the next day.

Still waiting on a better line up and Auditorium

Although I'm going to get Move and probably Kinect and will likely enjoy them, I secretly hope that they both fail so that this gimmick will end and us hard-core gamers can just go back to exclusive regular controller use on our PS3s and 360s.

Not necessarily fanboyism talking but I would like the Kinect to fail because I cant see anyway for it to be a good gaming experience. Not having a controller, in my mind limits the amount and kind of games that can be made for it.

The Move on the other hand acts like an accessory and complements some games in addition to normal controls. It can be used in an FPS (I tried it in MAG I thought it was atrocious but that may just be me) but you can go back to the normal controller if you want. At the moment for me the Move is for my puzzle/mini game needs Tumble, Flight Control, Auditorium and Echochrome ii when the latter two come out

@JasonA I don't think the Move is trying to get rid of the regular controller. It's not going to get in the way of using that. It's great because it gives a different way to game. I wouldn't want to only have that but it's nice to have another way to play. The Move compliments the system and in no way shadows the regualr controller.

I could understand this argument if the industry was trying to get away from the traditional controller but that isn't what's happening. With the Move, at least, it is being implemented as an alternative control scheme for a slightly different experience. It is an option and I am all for more options and different ways to enjoy great games.

@FraGNeM I don't appreciate the sh*tty elitisim that PC gamers have.

I only recently got a moderate gaming PC. I was happy because it opened up my options a bit for games only released on there, or on the 360/PC (I have a PS3).

I don't consider myself anymore "hardcore" than the next though. One can only play so many games. Consoles have a ginormous library of great games, and plenty of exclusives. There are tonnes of games to play without jumping consoles (except the Wii, LOL) that aren't sh*t.

So why is "PC" more "hardore" than consoles? Its being "hardcore" in regards to the hardware. But that doesn't mean you're anymore "hardcore" than a console gamer. A console gamer is just interested in GAMES rather than HARDWARE.

PC gaming isn't more hard-core than console gaming just because PC gaming involves a lot of games with boring grinding (e.g. world of warcraft), more pirating, less comfortable playing set-ups (i.e. keyboard, mouse, desk and chair) and tons of technical hassles (e.g. hardware and software compatibility issues, minimum system spec requirements).

Holy crap, really? That's way better than I expected this early on. I know I talked myself out of buying one last week because I remembered that I already have a Wii that I never play, but I may be interested once some good games start coming out for Move. Strong initial hardware sales will help to make that a little more likely.

I'm more or less waiting for the Kinect to come out and see how they compare to people using them each when there are more games out. As such, I will continue sitting here on the fence for a while until I see one worth jumping on. (Though my wife already wants the Kinect.)

@liquidfingers I'm a "hardcore" gamer and I love the Move. It's a nice change of pace and my wife is more willing to play something with Move than Mr. Bones or Mafia (so that's an added bonus). As much as I enjoy playing with the Move, I still enjoy a conventional controller and wouldn't want games to go that route only, either. Sony doesn't even want that and that's why I can stand behind it. It's just another extra option for PS3 owners.

I'm certainly a core gamer and I want the Move. Using thumbs to replicate all these game actions was supposed to be a temporary thing. I was hoping the Wiimote would finally make a step towards "Virtual reality", but now I"m hoping the Move is the first big step.

I smell an Xbox Fanboy in here. Come on, dude. You're easier to pick out then anything. 1) You bring up the Kinect and 2) You say something in defense of it when absolutely nobody is talking about it or even cares about it in a thread. Feeling threatened much?

Unless there's been a shipment in the last four days, the lone Move controllers are nearly impossible to find in the US unless you are fine with paying 25% over MSRP. Maybe the bundles haven't sold as well, though? Hmm . . .

I've decided to get the Move this Christmas. Or whenever I have the money for it. I'm especially interested in playing that Gladiator game and The Fight. But I also kind of want to try it out with LBP2 when that comes out. It'll be interesting to see how other games in the future will be implementing the Move.
