I wish they focus on game balances/bugs before getting out DLC!

@HaloisthemostOverratedGameEver

I really enjoy Civ5..as i did all the civ games, but yes, please patch the game before releasing DLC.. I can't even play 20 minutes without a crash.

@HaloisthemostOverratedGameEver The balance issues I'm not so worried about, but yes, the stupid scripting bugs are annoying.

Particularly, when I'm really trouncing an empire and they offer their surrender in the form of 15 cities, it would be really nice to be able to continue the game past that point.

Balance-wise, there are a LOT of mods that rebalance the game (e.g., the one that boosts production in Marathon mode so that you can actually build things before they get obsoleted by tech.)

This DLC was likely planned months ago when they realized they wouldn;t be able to finish all the civs and 2k decided they needed to save something for DLC, i really doubt it took many resources away from th people working on the patch.

besides, civ's are pretty easy to make, modders are churning them out right quick, the only time consuming thing is the Art, and artists aren't needed to debug code.

Free? I vowed to stop playing Civ until they patched it out of it's awful beta state, but with this, I can't say no to one more game...

Well I guess I'd better wait for a GOTY or gold edition. I don't buy DLC that should be free. It seems every company out there (except valve) wants to nickel and time you for extra content.

@C1 The Babylonians were part of the collectors edition.

@C1 Have you looked at the Hat section for the Mann Co. catalog in TF2 recently? Valve also appears to be starting to nickel and dime.

Well, I've already got the Babylonians. Won my first victory with 'em.
For the mongols:
The interesting thing I see there is the named Great General unit. Maybe he can participate in combat?

...as a free "gift to the legions of Civ fanatics." (Don't mess with them, they're really well organized.)

You'd be surprised. http://www.civfanatics.com/

The real question is, can you use this DLC in multiplayer? The arbitrary limits are infuriating. Civ4 never restricted us in such a way.

@Ovy

i dunno... you can't play Babylon in MP now, maybe if everyone has it? not sure. it does suck though. should really be able to use DLC civs online.

@Ovy

People actually play multiplayer? I thought multi was just an excuse to make the game run like crap and bland everything down.

Hmm...the Ghengis Khan one was included in the special edition. I guess you can count on anything "exclusive" to not be so for very long in video game land these days. At least its free and not paid DLC I suppose.
