@golobulus It got an 80 metacritic. That's pretty good, all things considered.

Damn straight it was! One of the best narrative driven games I have played in a LONNNNGGGG time.

Sad. No wonder developers don't take risks creating new ip's. Instead we're stuck with sequel, after sequel. Christ, where's the innovation, the imagination? Sad indeed.

Im glad for MoH... Im actually enjoying the MP, even with its massive framerate drops, and the SP was just fun, short, but fun.

FIFA11 is extremely fun. I really love FIFA

im loving the MP as well its a good change i think.

also the SP seemed short because you kind of did the same thing the hole time. i understand it was all about the war we are in, but man is the terrain mesmerizing you cant really tell what level you are on.

My only issue with the SP imo, its that is lacking like an Elite (like in KZ2) or Veteran (CoD games), i found the Hard Mode extremely easy, died 10 times in the whole campain and unlocked almost every sp trophy but the ac130 and 5 kills with a granade.

I love the HUDless style btw

Same here. I am loving Medal of Honor. The reviewers dropped the ball on this one in my opinion.

Lamenting the difficulty, eh? I was kinda remiss that the game didn't have a couple of really hardcore battle segments, like what we've seen from the IP over the last few years. Constantly building you up for that last fight or two.

There is the Tier 1 mode that looks to step it up in difficulty, this may satisfy your craving.

Games like MoH claim the first spot without doing anything special and great unique Games like Castlevania are forgotten after 2 only two weeks?
Sad Gaming world nowadays...

Medal of Honor is awesome. It feels extremely authentic and realistic as far as the way the squads move and communicate with one another as well as command. It is also based on a real operation. That alone trumps the "generics fps" argument right there in my book.

@Misfit Toy

I hate to compare MoH to Modern Warfare but sometimes it''s inevitable particularly when someone mentions the communication. This is an area where I feel Medal of Honor falls down.

I'm not a military man, never have been and whereas some of the phrases they use make obvious sense there's just far too much of it. This gives the layman the feeling that, most of the time, they're just talking jibberish or randomly shouting words from the phonetic alphabet.. I also spend a lot of time thinking "Right....where exactly am I supposed to be going now?" because the communication leaves so much to be desired.

Combine that with poor voice casting and I find the whole thing to be very poor. Seriously, all the SEAL teams sound exactly the same to me and it's a big departure from the likeable, individual, characters of CoD 4 and 6.

I like Medal of Honor, I'm enjoying it, but this is a huge detractor for me and the lack of attention to detail stops it being the triple A game I'd been expecting and hoping for.

Just look at this! ROFL

Advertising power FTW. This proves it very well how to make a shitty game and make it top seller. Can't believe this really -.-"

People concern about this issue.
They find Moh *boring* and *not unique* as some games. But wait.. It's so true for it to be the no1 seller. As a former marketing and visual communication design student, this is a thing that we've already know from our classes. People get attracted by their hopes, fears and concerns. Give'em fear, realistic war (which is already happening) and hopes (killing the terrorists that threats their whole country, even the whole world!) and they gonna run for it.
This is all about setting, and how this setting be marketed. We can't discuss about the pr behind it.

@Night Elve

I found the first half hour not that inspiring. It felt like a tame MW2 so it took a while to ramp into it. Now that I'm on Chapter 3 (I think) it has grown on me more.

People who are used to twitchy games like Halo or moreso with COD will have to adapt to the pace. Not as slow as Killzone though.

There actually is and is something almost every reviewer missed. It's called Tier 1 mode and has it's own menu for the SP launch. No respawn's and limited amo add a whole new flavour to the campaign. Have to clear each level with one life or you start back from the beginning. To add each area must be cleared in a specific amount of time.

Wasn't impressed by the SP at first, but as I got into it, it's quite a bit of fun. It almost is like the halfway point between over-the-top action of COD games and the tense, stark realism of Operation Flashpoint. Though it's definitely apparent that MOH ripped off the COD device of switching between different squads/factions, which I can't really blame them for since it works pretty well.

MP on the other hand, the first time I started it up on a SD set, it looks like it squished the proportions, I'm hoping there's a setting that fixes this. Overall I'm thinking building the separate parts with different engines was a mistake

Glad to see castlevania still in the top 10 completed it at the weekend great game. I am really pleased to see Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 in the top 10. I have already clocked up 14 hours on the game lol.

I loved Medal of Honours Single player, it was beautiful and had an amazing sense of realism and bravado but the multiplayer was terrible in my opinion everygame i joined was a sniper fest, i feel the weapons are't fairly balanced out (i mean the first sniper you get does a one hit kill on the body not just the head), the only good thing i can say about the multiplayer is that the maps were beautiful.

I felt the same way for the first few games I played but once you learn the maps it feels a lot better. After you learn how to effectively utilize the cover and learn the kill zones of the maps it is awesome.

Nice.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Medal of Honor single player.

Not quite as much as the campaign in BBC2, but definitely more so than the MW2 campaign.

And what an ending.

I also need to mention that, I like Medal Of Honor. Single player is short but great, and the gameplay is so fun I think. Also mp is a fresh air after mw2. This is my opinion.

Medal of Honor has been a nice suprise. I didn't know what to expect, especially after the reviews, but I'm glad I bought it. SP is fun, and I haven't been able to put the MP down. Something about it hits the right spot for me. It's the perfect mix of BC2 and MW2 combined into one.
