Rovio has reiterated that a paid version of the app (with advertising removed) is still on the way, and its Twitter account also states they're working on QVGA support and support for other Android devices as well. No matter what they add in the future, two million downloads is a great way to start off on any platform.

I'm having a problem downloading the game. I start the 12.2MB download, after is done, I have two options, OPEN or DISMISS, I then click open but nothing happens, I checked to see if is there with the other apps, but it's not there either (I've done this five times already). I thought I was doing something wrong, it was my first time downloading something from GetJar, but I downloaded something else from GetJar to test and worked, but somehow I can't get Angry Birds. What should I do?
My phone is compatible with the game.

My girlfriend freaking loves this game but I just do not understand the addiction behind it.
Yeah it's fun... but it seems this is all anyone with an iPhone ever plays.

Angry Birds is pretty heavily talked about that even regular people kinda knows it by name. Since it's free, the barrier of entry is very low just to satisfy curiosity. I wonder how many of those millions are actually playing it, vs downloading-it-just-because-it's-free-and-play-for-5-minutes-and-never-run-the-game-again
It's just a blip in the trend radar. Everybody will go back to Farmville/We Rule/etc.

@Private Awesome it's one of those cases where the developer really takes advantage of some initial popularity and uses effective marketing and hype to increases the sales. Personally I got bored with it pretty quickly but I can see how casual players will find it fun.

Rovio Mobile and Minecraft guy should totally go out for drinks and bowling. They can share common interests such as making ridiculous amounts of money

@Javr If Alan Wake was released for free with ad support, I'm sure 400 million would have downloaded that too...

Yes, but how many times were those fake! I had to try and download it at least 30 times before it would actually download it all!
