I am one of those 2 million.

Runs great on my original Droid, and the advertising 99% of the time isn't even noticeable. Fantastic.

I agree, I love the game. Its a shame that so far gaming on Android sucks when compared to the Iphone's app store.

@Matrixxxx

I'm having a problem downloading the game. I start the 12.2MB download, after is done, I have two options, OPEN or DISMISS, I then click open but nothing happens, I checked to see if is there with the other apps, but it's not there either (I've done this five times already). I thought I was doing something wrong, it was my first time downloading something from GetJar, but I downloaded something else from GetJar to test and worked, but somehow I can't get Angry Birds. What should I do?

My phone is compatible with the game.

@jocaju try downloading it from the Android Market. It was made available sometime during the weekend.

Hopefully this will be a good example to companies that there clearly is a market about as big as apple's on the Android Market, they just have to start porting some games and they'll get sales.

This game is extremely recommended and well worth the buck on iPhone. I noticed on my bros android version is missing the fourth set of levels that mine came with. I wonder If that will come with the pay version when it comes out

My girlfriend freaking loves this game but I just do not understand the addiction behind it.
Yeah it's fun... but it seems this is all anyone with an iPhone ever plays.

@Private Awesome
Angry Birds is pretty heavily talked about that even regular people kinda knows it by name. Since it's free, the barrier of entry is very low just to satisfy curiosity. I wonder how many of those millions are actually playing it, vs downloading-it-just-because-it's-free-and-play-for-5-minutes-and-never-run-the-game-again
It's just a blip in the trend radar. Everybody will go back to Farmville/We Rule/etc.

@Private Awesome it's one of those cases where the developer really takes advantage of some initial popularity and uses effective marketing and hype to increases the sales. Personally I got bored with it pretty quickly but I can see how casual players will find it fun.

I believe many other Android users will agree with me when I say:

Overrated. Angry Birds is just better produced than the others. There were so many similar games, it's hard to pinpoint which one was the original and which ones were the clones.

@pika2000

How is it overrated if it's better than all the others?

Rovio Mobile and Minecraft guy should totally go out for drinks and bowling. They can share common interests such as making ridiculous amounts of money

@Javr If Alan Wake was released for free with ad support, I'm sure 400 million would have downloaded that too...

Yes, but how many times were those fake! I had to try and download it at least 30 times before it would actually download it all!
