UFC fanboys are pretty strong with their brand loyalty, but I'd hope that MMA has enough of a diverse audience that a game like this could take off, because it really does sound like the better gameplay experience.

Now if only we could get EA to do a wrestling game with the same level of polish as their sports games we'd have all the sweaty men rolling round with each other genres covered.

Yes. Please. THQ hasn't finished a game in years, and let's not mention the TNA Impact game.

i think you meant that the two games are "complementary", not "complimentary"... because i really don't see Dana White complimenting this game. =P

Having no interest in the sport itself, hearing it compared to the systems of Fight Night has me slightly interested. Good to hear they've came out with a quality product.

going to have to pick this up someday. roster is important, but gameplay is mroe important... and i really did like fight night's control scheme.

I am a huge fan of the sport. I already own undisputed which I love. After playing the demo of EA sports MMA I thought it offered something differnet in its approch. The career intrigues me more in the EA game. I will be getting this day one Friday in the UK.

Ok the roster is not great compared to undisputed but thier are some fighters outside of the UFC that I am excited about geting to play as such as King MO, Aoki, Fedor, Overeem etc...

100% agree. I can't wait so use aoki. i would rather use him than any fighter in undisputed. Don't get me wrong I was really good at Undisputed 2010, but the game pretty much came down to stamina and who could wear the other guy out quicker. Now post patch its all Muay Thai Clinch and slams. Again I love the UFC game and I will play it again from time to time, but C'mon EA Sports make me proud one more time.

Was skeptical due to the roster. But, after reading this, maybe I'll check the demo out.

I dunno, after playing the demo the pacing was a bit slower compared to THQ's UFC, maybe thats because its more of a simulation.

always felt like the fights always turned into who can stay on top of who and punch the guy in the face till he taps out, I perfer to kick a guys teeth out, I dunno maan.

UFC '10 was awful. It was a huge step back like Madden '11 compared to Madden '10. I hear you about only having time for one game though.

I wish EA would do a K1 game using a modified fight night engine. Badr Hari FTW!

If you only been watching UFC then the roster is pretty underwhelming. But if you've checked out other promotions such as StrikeForce, Sengoku and Dream then the roster is pretty damn good.

I'm gonna definitely support EA's MMA. This is the game for the TRUE MMA fan, but probably not for the strictly-UFC fan.

It's great that they have Randy in the game, so it's sure to get the attention of the casual UFC fans, to some extent. I hope this game opens up UFC fans to other organizations outside the UFC and WEC.

(Side note: I think the first UFC game is amazing, so EA MMA has a lot to compete with.)

I'm a HUGE fan of the sport and was excited to try this out but I played the demo and wasn't overly impressed. However, if I start seeing good reviews, I may still pick it up.

I was pretty underwhelmed by the Fight Night Round 4 demo (after loving Round 3) but I picked it up last Christmas on sale for $20 and ended up really enjoying it so I'm starting to wonder if this will be the same where I disliked the demo but end up loving the full game.
