They've still only scratched the surface of great PS1 games. PSOne really needs to grow, and developers really need to get over regional issues (I'm looking at you Square, keeping Front Mission 3 in Europe.)

Twisted Metal 2 is the best in the series imo and that's already there. I have a feeling this is to drum up some interest in the series as the new TM gets closer. Plus one is a pretty good game too.

@McGlone16

I'd agree to a certain degree; I played TM2 within the last 6 months and that game has not aged well at all. Twisted Metal Black though still looks and plays well.

@def PD TM2 I disagree to it aging poorly.

I can still throw that in every once in awhile when I'm on a retro kick, and still have fun attempting to get through the whole single player. I usually die at the Ice level and then give up.

Then again, I spent a lot of hours playing this game with a friend when it was a current game, so I'm a legit old school fan D:

Twisted Metal 2 is on PSN, which is superior to the first in almost every way.

That is odd indeed. Most TM fans consider 3 and 4 to be abominations.

Why bother releasing the original if the sequel's already on the store?

Sony really needs to start cranking out classics. One or two a month just isn't enough.

Finally! I've had this wrecked Twisted Metal 1 disk that only KINDA works for far too long. Will buy.

They should get Toshinden 1 up there so I can relive my early PS1 days fully.

@Guts You deserve an award. However, I am far too lazy to get you one, so you will have to settle with a +1.

@Guts

I want Tomba and Tomba 2 up. There not that great, but there so damn rare!

I found Tomba 2 ONCE, and it ended up to be Tomba 2 case, with Tomba 1 inside. >

Pretty sad seeing all these people commenting saying "yay! finally! I'm going to get this!"
Do what you want with your money, but Twisted Metal 2 is already on the PSN. And Twisted Metal 2 is in every way a complete upgrade to the first one, it makes the first game obsolete.

I wish they would get their butts moving with some more games - we will have to see what the future has to store. Id really like to try out some of those PS1 imports.

I have my original copy of TM still and I actually popped it in when the new TM was announced. Doesn't hold up at all, obviously, but I recommend Twisted Metal Black still and the PSP Twisted Metal games.

That Twisted Metal that was released late PS2 life cycle wasn't bad either, as it was basically a love letter to TM fans.

I just LOVE those early PS1 games. I loved the infusion of FMV and new-age 3D. We'll never have another Jumping Flash or Zero Divide. It's just too risky now.

God, I miss 1995.

Two things:
First of all, they need Twisted Metal Black, because it was so damn good.

Second, I really like the thought of so many classic games getting the digital download treatment. This means that hopefully we can buy these games one more time and simply move them from one systems harddrive to the next, never having to leave a game behind again.
