Al Roker: Shred
14
During a visit to the Today Show, Tony Hawk advised risk-taking dream-seekers to "stay true to what you love doing, because you'll make it -- and it'll be great." Behind him, wobbling atop the Shred board, Al Roker realized that he had in fact veered dangerously off course from his chosen path.

Also, what I get from this video is that Tony Hawk does apply the things he likes to his video games...
Both seem to not care going downhill very fast!

I think "you dammit" should be Joystiq's new official perjorative.

I have zero interest in skate boarding, but I like Tony Hawk. I think he's a good role model for kids. I mean, you look at him, and then you look at other fools in his field like Bam Magera, I would definitely rather have my kid look up to Tony Hawk.

@stafa
He's kind of a cool dude (and he doesn't afraid of anything). I remember reading interviews with him...way the hell back, and at least then, he took his games very seriously too. I don't know how involved in the proceedings he is, but it's always struck me that he's more than just a face stuck on there for brand recognition.

I just bought Tony Hawk Ride for $10 brand new in a yard sale. Its not as bad as all the critics made it out to be. I might actually get the software version of this.
