Battlenet remains the reason I don't play any Blizzard games anymore. If I want a social networking site as well as a bunch of privacy risks, I'll re-open my Facebook account.

RealID in an opt-in service. Go find something else to complain about.

Note to @PlasticRat :

Never, EVER, simply assume that because we don't automatically oppose all forms of change, that we are Bliz fanboys.

@PlasticRat
Just checked your comment history. All the recent ones are anti-blizzard for various reasons. Just give it up, troll.

They said the BlizzCon 2009 audience accepted it, but that's because they were told there would be options to how much info was revealed. When they said "Everyone knows your real name, and if you don't want them to, don't post" that isn't what they said.

Thankfully they went back on it.

""The vision behind Real ID," Canessa said, "was to maintain parallel levels of identity: we have that sort of anonymous character level of identity, and then that Real ID tier that spans games"

Thats fine, let me set my RealID to a username of my choosing (in most cases ... Milky1985) and i will happily have a name that spans all the games, just don't make me use my REAL name and we are all fine.

Its very very simple so i really don't get why they keep on insisting on the real name thing.
