In case you needed more of a reason to want Red Dead Redemption's upcoming "Undead Nightmare" DLC than zombie bears -- excuse us, Zombears -- this just might be it. Rockstar has released a trailer focusing on the new content's co-op "Undead Overrun" multiplayer, and it might strike you as a little familiar.
In it, you and your posse take on waves of the infected, while trying to reach a safehouse survive until the timer runs out. Weapons and ammo must be "chosen wisely" at the outset (though more can be rummaged from coffins) and fallen amigos can be revived, provided you get to them fast enough. See it for yourself in the amusingly narrated trailer after the break. We'd try to rhyme like its narrator, but it would probably come out something like this: "Undead Overrun is a lot of fun." (Wait -- that sounds like one of his actual lines.)
In addition to the trailer, Rockstar has revealed that the DLC will bring with it 12 additional Achievements / Trophies, our favorite of which is "Smoke That Skinwagon," unlocked by making it to wave 15 of the Undead Overrun mode. You can browse the full list here, unless it's spoilers you fear.
OOH man you got me. It was a reference to some show on AMC. He gets trapped in a tank at the end of the episode. But it cuts to black after some army man radios him about being a dumbass and hoping hes cozzyyyyy His wife/son are in a camp by the road he takes to atlanta. With one of his old sheriff deputy buddies. The black dude from Jericho is in this show.
I am so sick of zombies. Can we please move on to something new? Robots? Aliens? Hell, I'd even be up for some Vampire/Werewolf action as long as they didn't sparkle or have spray tans.
its DLC, not a full game. Don't download it if you don't like it. And once we have the next in thing, people will bitch about that too. I'm sick of the fad "can't we get over this" that follows the actually fads.
@TraceurRyuk Prepping for LBP2 I suppose you're tired of bacon & ninjas too. TOO BAD!!! BACON-COVERED-ZOMBIE-NINJA-PIRATES FTW!!!!! It's all in good fun & what they've done with the zombies (while not "true" to the old west) looks like a freaking blast. That's the beauty of DLC, ya don't gotta play it.
The DLC will supposedly be like it was for GTA IV, not a game of the year type thing. DLC only sold seperately on a disk, not the full version of Red Dead. This DLC leaves me wondering, though, where are you supposed to find the Zombrex?
I haven't even watched this video yet but I'm definitely buying. Rockstar has built amazing brand loyalty with me over the years because their titles are so unapologetically crass and carry so much replay value. The only thing that I'll wait for a discount on is Legends & Killers DLC since it only offered levels to interest me ...
Considering they made Grand Theft Horse and it sold like it did, they are giving this away for free?
