Taiko Drum Master on PS2 was fun but the game was too loud to play in my apartment.

I really liked playing Taiko Drum Master in the arcade with the giant drum and heavy sticks. I think they had at least two machines at Tokyo Game Action in Winchendon, Massachusetts.

@misterinvisible Man, I heard about that place! had a pretty epic selection of BEMANI games, from what I heard... sucks that they closed down though :(

Closest arcade like that to me is Arcade Infinity out in SoCal.... maybe someday I'll get to check it out.

But in the meantime I'll prolly rent this.

Arcades still exist in the United States? (I live in the Midwest.)

Wow, this game looks like so much fun.

...It's never going to come out in the US, is it?

@Peretz Considering that only one Taiko game out of... what, 24 games, for 7 different consoles/handhelds has been released outside of Japan... I'd say no.

Seems kind of ancient, these games, now that Rock Band has extremely acurate drum charts that can be played with full bands and every piece an average drumset has, and guitar hero has four player drumming already... but it's japan, so i guess they don't care.

this game is amazing.

It's entirely different from Rock Band. Yes, it's more simple, but it has more charm in one figurative pinky than Rock Band does in its entire literal guitar, drums, keyboard, etc, etc.

I have great love for this game, as do my kids.

It hurts my heart that this will not come to America. It's just too much effort and cost to import this, but damn... If they did bring this here...
