Is there a Wii or Playstation fancast? If not, dare I ask why?

@AkumaFTW

If you listen to the regular podcast the editors all admit to being Xbox fans.

I listen to both, just wondering if I was missing something.

We're something of a holdover from when Joystiq still had sites for each console. We started doing the Xbox 360 Fancast a long time ago, and brought it over once the whole Joystiq console network merged into a single site.

@RichardMitchell
I've been around for a while, and it's funny to me how y'all Joystiq bloggers regard the change as some Great Shift. My Joystiq surfing habits haven't changed (not that I've noticed), but I do love the new interface and streamline-ization.

Alan Wake 2? LOL, I would rather play another Max Payne game fast forward another 10 years with a Payne bit grizzled like Eastwood in later Dirty Harry films. Or a new IP that is actually fun to play, unlikely Alan Wake.

Rich good to have you back. You do definitely are the hub of the show. No your are not a Chris Grant (third wheel). Your dulcet tones grounds the show and makes us almost forget that your are from Oklahoma.

Good to have you back Mr. Mitchell. Podcast never feels right when someone is gone. And also thanks for answering my question. Always curious as to what others think, especially those who depend on the business.

And I worry about Dave. Liking Kinectimals because of what sounds like uninteresting mini game collection...

As a side note, does someone know why im having trouble posting comments? Im using my ipod to do this w no problem, but in IE or Firefox, the button to post the comment is missing. Any ideas?

Final Fantasy XIII specifically scrolls text while it's loading telling you what's going on in the story. I was about to write this while listening when Richard used it as an example of a game you'd get lost while playing :)

I agree with Alexander though. I'm playing Mass Effect 2 and took maybe 15 hours of game time to do side quests. The main storyline info is a few lines in my quest log that says I have to go somewhere and get something. Not very compelling stuff and not a lot of context.

Great podcast, and hats off to Dave Hinkle for having an open mind about Kinect, and more so, being upfront about having a blast with Kinectimals without being controlled by society. I define YOU as a hardcore gamer, as you are willing to experience anything gaming related, and not the teens who THINK they're hardcore because they play Call of Duty and Halo Reach 24/7.

I love watching all the kiddies knocking Kinect, because they're afraid their friends will think they're lame. Good luck to your future - because these friends won't be around when you're a hung up, bitter old douche who missed out on a lot of things when you were young.
