Plants vs. Zombies DS trailer unearths new minigames
19
We've planted the first footage of Plants vs. Zombies DS (due January 2011) right here, offering a glimpse of the new minigames: Heat Wave, Homerun Derby, Bomb All Together and a shmup called Air Raid. The DS version also touts new achievements and is, like all things PvZ, unbearably charming.

I already have this for PC and iPad. If Popcap expects me to buy another version then they are sorely...
Oh, who am I kidding... I'll probably buy it day one.

I agree that in a lot of cases the control options available on the iphone/ipad make it a last choice gaming platform but in terms of PvZ or really any tower defense games in general a large touch screen like the iphone/ipads is perfect. This is not a game that requires any kind of D-pad or analog stick (which are the kind of controls that suck on the ipad/iphone). In fact from the looks of it the DS version control scheme is identical with the exception that you use a stylus instead of your finger.

Ehh, a good part of the charm of the PC version for me was how nicely the plants and zombies were animated. This version is portable, which is a plus, but it just looks too cramped on that screen.

Dear Popcap,
Could you please patch the xbox version so the multiplayer is ONLINE?

I'm hoping that Nintendo improves DsiWare in the 3DS so we do see more iPhone games come out on it at a quicker pace. I'd much rather buy games on my DS than a phone.

Great game but I'm truly sorry. Between PC, iPhone, and xbox I've killed enough zombies with plants and fungi. Thanks.

$19.95? Is that right?
... DAMN IT.
Guess I am buying it. AGAIN.
Sort of off topic, but my PvZ account on Steam, which uses Cloud for the save, pretty much vanished. Now I have to start all over and looking on the Steam forums, it's happened to a few other people. :(
