Admittedly, MJ's dance moves look slick even in this game, but I would rather watch the music videos again than spend money on this.

And at (00:35) who is going to actually be able to do the lean!?

@Lerkero

Maybe the game will have a bundle with the specially designed Michael Jackson shoes for that move:

It's all fun and games until you realize that it's only tracking the movements of the wiimote in your hand.

That said, I'd love to have just seen this as a Dance Central DLC pack or expansion.

The Eye can track bodies too, I don't know why no one realizes this...so it would track your body movements AND your Move to give it even more precise tracking.

Skeletal tracking with a webcam works like crap though.

Something doesn't feel right about this game in terms of appearance. Game seems cool but the style Ubisoft chose just throws me off.

Any one else think the left and right next dance move indicators are way too far apart to be practical?

I think they're separated by main/backup dancers. Main on the left, backup on the right.

I've said this before when they announced this:

I would've been ALL OVER THIS if this was something that was released when I was like 6.

But now I'm old enough to realize that really no guy should be dancing unless they're trying to get some. (at least that's my opinion)

@MystileArmor

??

ability to dance well = instant poontang, esp. ballroom and/or hip-hop

It's a long, hard road though...

@kentuckyfried you hit the nail on the head! I used to ballroom, now that I don't (way outta practice)...sigh...every girl just flocks to my cousins who can do those hip hop tricks...

I'm guessing there'll be an achievement/trophy for people that come up with creative ways to do the smooth criminal lean?

And for the wii owners...buy a real system will ya? Seriously. Nintendo makes the best games but even as bad as psn/home is it blows the wii's miis/shop channel away.

@SuperWoody64 Nintendo makes the best games, but people should buy PS3s for Home? Salesman, you are not.

No, I'm saying that nintendo makes the best games but their online presence and the connectivity/layout of their systems stinks. I was comparing it to the worst of the 2 real systems. Xbox does it best I think, easy to read, well laid out marketplace. Avatar support in games. Nintendo, on the other hand is a hodgepodge on dsi and wii shops. Plus you don't have a persistant "name" like my PSN name or gamertag. PSN is somewhere in between with a decent marketplace and home that has more loading screens than sega cd game.

Michael Jackson's move are one of the hardest to achieve...

Even a Pro dancer have dificulties mimicking the king... how are common people supposed to follow that?

@Ashkental I'm sure there will be different difficulty levels as with all rhythm games...that being said...I've got the reason to get a kinect now.

Call me crazy, but I don't think those are the proper step sequences. They are MJ's moves, yes, but I don't think they're being used in the right places in the song (at least, not for "Smooth Criminal"; I don't know "Ghost"). In addition, at 0:20 - 0:23, that sequence is missing a whole bunch of parts, which I know because that's the one part of the dance I actually can do.

As much as I don't care about the 360, this is the ideal game for a Kinect application if there ever is one to justify its existence.

MJ is great and I want to get this, but I find it odd that in all of his songs that I've seen thus far, he's white, rather than it being accurate to the videos and his life at the time. Yeah he was white in Ghosts and Smooth Criminal, but I've seen him in Beat It and in the pictures for Thriller he is white also.

Totally agree, that shows a lack of detail and adherence to the "source material."

Besides that though i was lucky enough to see some Kinect footage which blows this out the water, the Kinect version is portrayed more in the atmosphere of a concert. whereas everything we've seen from the Wii version is pulled from the music videos.

Both of which are being pulled off nicely!

Sorry, I didn't follow the subject before.. but;
What is the technique behind this MJ character? It is not cg, isn't it? It is a subsititute/actor footage I think..
