Don't really care for extra XP in Gears, not like we get anything. Now happy hour in MAG, thats one I tend not to miss

Wrong. Gears Level 100s get a special something when the third game hits next year ( not specified as of yet) plus you get good ol achievements. Get your trolling out of here.

@GamingColt I had no idea, thanks for the tip. Now to buy a 6 pack of Mountain Dew and a pack of Depends. I love me some Gears and I can't wait till Gears 3 comes out.

I'm trying to remember if there are any achievements tied to the XP/Rank in MP...
Yep, there are 3 (just checked on X360A):
Rookie Gear, Seasoned Gear, and Battle-Tested Gear
Ranks 5, 15, and 25 respectively (Public only).
There are a few more, but I think they're DLC only.

@dvader7272 have you ever played the multiplayer for Uncharted 2? its actually awesome.. reason i got a ps3 and pretty much everything they are promising for gears 3 is in uncharted 2, dont get me wrong I am a gears fanboy but Ive broke 1 to many controllers getting lag switched or just wondering why my guns dont work due to lag

Just get a couple friends to grind it out with you in Horde mode.
I think in about four-five hours I went from level four to level 48 when the 25x even was going on a few weeks back.

Sweet, not sure what everyone is complaining about the wait list for a match making is not that long on my end.

Cool, If only they can put Dedicated Servers on Gears 2..I remember reading somewhere that they were testing Dedicated Servers on Gears 2 on some Matches...wish it became a full feature..maybe it will maybe it won't..but i hope so..

there were some matches that felt like I was host...even when I have bad hosting..thats what ruin gears 2 for me..always getting selected as host..

I think itis great that they are still doing XP weekends for Gears 2. I'm only level 50, so this helps me get closer to 100!

I'll stick with unlaggy red dead redemption double XP weekend thank you very much. Oh, and the delicious and awesome Undead Nightmare. Best DLC of 2010 IMO.
