Confirms my suspicion that Sega doesn't give a crap about the West. It makes it decent numbers in Japan and is happy.

@FriedConsole
I wouldn't say Sega doesn't care about the West, but I'd think that when it comes to business sense the only major Sega title that still performs relatively well is Sonic.

I don't think Sega can afford to invest a lot of money into competing in the West only to lose it.

"smartphone is expanding"

They throw that phrase away at the end. Interesting to see how big this sector gets for them.

19% rise in the sector we care about seems pretty damn huge to me.

More games like Bayonetta, Vanquish, and Yakuza! Less Sonic franchise raping!

@gangcar Agreed.

Sega surprised me this year with those awesome titles.
Hope they keep it up.

Well, they have been making less stupid decisions lately. Possibly that there's some correlation between that and sales. Just sayin'

I like Phantasy Star Portable 2 and Valkyrie Chronicles 2, actually they are the only two games I spend more time playing with on my PSP

No surprise that Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA 2nd was their biggest seller. The first one, last year, was a really big hit, as well as being one of the best-made licensed games I've ever seen (I have the first, though not the second, and it's just plain awesome). I don't know anything about the K-On PSP game, but K-On is really big in Japan, so that's no surprise either.
