Serves them right for being console gamers AND Europeans.

@nighttime Don't be too hard on Rather Dashing. In his innocent youth he was ravaged by a busload of Bulgarian Sega fanatics.

@Pure Black World Tendency

By the sounds of it, he's still in his youth and too poor to afford a new-gen console... Or a Wii.

@Apsac D So now we admit that console gaming is more expensive than PC. =)

@ILT2 I think he's talking about modern games. I've heard a lot of complaints from PC gamers about how companies are abandoning the PC in favour of the 360/PS3.

I don't know about that indie games comment either, at least in the 360's case. There's an insane number of indie games on XBL. Not as many as the PC, but still a huge amount.

That said the PC does have the huge backlog of older games. Also, steam.

@osvico

Console gaming is definitely cheaper than PC gaming. Unless you're a pirate, but all consoles can be pirated. So... still cheaper.

What I was saying that basically everyone has a PC that has the ability to play PC games, but not everybody has a new-gen console. God knows why, PS3/360 have some amazing exclusives, but each to their own.

And although I love the Wii, I was making fun of it's lacking hardware.
I've been following Nintendo since I was 5, I have the right to make fun of their lacking hardware because I love them.

This is all.

And that.

Now this.

Eh, non-story. It will be patched soon enough. In the meantime the Euors will just have to play one of the other 100 hours of content this game offers.

Not enough reason not to play this awesome game. So, if you missed it the first time it came out. Go grab it. LOL.

But seriously though, who the hell checks the quality on these releases. People should get what they pay for. I'm guessing this missing DLC will be downloadable if it's really not on the disc.

I loved Dragon Age (on the PC) but I found the in-game DLC 'advertising' immersion-breaking, which immediately put me off ever wanting to buy it. I'm never swimming in cash so it takes something special for me to buy a game at full price on release, which is what I did with this game (and the 'Mass Effect's), but I resent being asked to throw more money at it, worst of all while I'm attempting to lose myself in a fantasy world where I DON'T have to think about money. There's a good chance I'll keep buying all of Bioware's games, seeing as I really enjoy them, but in my book they can stick their DLC. Frankly, the closer games get to being interactive DLC stores, the less interest I will have in buying\playing them. Perhaps I should stop buying on release and just wait for GOTY editions..

@edit Same here. Add on top of that that none of it was very good (most reviews said they were short with no real substance), and I had zero desire to pick up any DLC for this game.

Mass Effect, on the other hand...

This wouldn't have been a problem if they just included the damn DLC on the disc, instead of forcing us to download it...

thank you for such deep insight, Captain Obvious! :p your comment reminds me of the "Really?! with Seth and Amy" segment from SNL.

What a stupid thing to say.

One game amounts to 10-20 mods.

Starcraft amounts to 40-50 games itself.

One game on the PC outlasts the console online community (I.E. Halo Combat Evolve).

This is coming from a guy with an Xbox 360.

So all the DLC is on the disc except the one mentioned above? From the comments above, at least it doesn't sound like they pulled what Borderlands GOTY edition did and just gave you a download sheet for all the expansions... someone correct me if I'm wrong though.. as I was hoping all DLC was on disc to save me some HD space.

I'm playing this on PC at the moment. I had awful trouble getting the DLC to work. Had to reinstall the game twice for it to finally show up as Enabled.

Um, has anybody else had so much trouble installing the DLC? I finally downloaded it from the EA website, and then when I pressed New Game, it wouldn't show up! WTF??? It'll certainly make me think twice before buying Dragon Age 2...
