Video Games Live announces 42 North American shows

If you're a resident of the great continent of North America, you don't have much of a reason for not seeing a Video Games Live performance during the next few months. The orchestra recently announced 42 shows across America, Mexico and Canada, covering both coasts -- and quite a few fly-over states as well. (H-town WV, represent!)

I got excited for a second when I saw the Wichita, KS show.

Then I noticed it's just the local college band performing it. Kind of took the wind out of my sails.

I'm going to the show next week - I know it's just the WSU band, but tickets are cheap (start at just $20) and I don't feel like driving to KC.

I saw VGL in Vancouver 2005. Great show. Highly recommend any of you here to go and see if it you have the opportunity.

I'm disappointed with the lack of shows in the Southeast. :(

Agreed! I'm really surprised there's no Atlanta, or New Orleans show... Sort of surprised there's no Knoxville show.

Why Mexico City? They should have picked Monterrey... it's way closer to my city.

Or at least a city in Texas...

So Winnipeg gets two dates, yet Toronto and Montreal, both 10x the city of Winnipeg in every aspect, get one each.

I would love to go to this. Have to wait until next term's final dates are announced. Would hate to buy tickets then realize I have a final that night!

I saw them back in 2007 and they were pretty good. I blame myself for listening to game music everyday tho thus dulling out any excitement, but the stage play was just terrible. Still fun to listen to and hang out with friends.

My wife and I are going to the one in Milwaukee tomorrow night... Got a notification of a pre-sale and ended up with front-row center. This'll be our 4th. It's an amazing show.

My girlfriend got me and her tickets to go November 13 for my birthday. :D

Grr.... they need to announce a show for Austin.

Bought my tickets for the Mpls show in January. Maybe this time I won't miss the show (and blow $80) like I did earlier this year :(

That's what I get for not leaving notes to myself when I purchased tickets over 6 months ahead of time for the April 2010 show in fall of 2009. Not doing that this time...

Aw man, I'm hearing about this so late! I either have to go to the Milwaukee one tomorrow or the Chicago one the day after. I should do both, but I don't think I can afford the time to do either. Talk about short notice. : (

New York always gets forgotten about when it comes to anything video game related. The most we get is Comic Con and it really doesn't have that much to it video game wise as compared to PAX.

I was just about to say, I go to the page to see if I could buy tickets and see they weren't for sale yet.
Me, having no clue why, continue to look around until I see the date.
The show starts in 10 mins and I just learned about it now.

I though VGL wasn't going to come back to Kansas City after the poor showing two years ago. Now that this is suddenly sprung on me, I wish I had more time to drum up support from more people I know. Nonetheless, tickets are purchased.

Me too, 2 years ago the showing was horrible. What, maybe a third of the Midland was full, if that? I bought tickets earlier this week, and it's not looking much better honestly. Seemed like lots of good tickets were still available.

Wait. It takes a month to get in to France and the 2 days to get in to Russia?

I thought the Iron Curtain was open. Sounds more like it just move a little further west.

There's a buttload more with unannounced dates, too.

TX is so small the state doesn't get 1 show, but NY & NJ combined get 3....

April 13th and 14th... I got to go the first time in 2005, hopefully I and a few friends can make it to this one.
