I only played the first level of the campaign so far but I like it. I usually don't even play the campaign when i buy shooters but I actually enjoyed the little bit I've played so far in the new Bond game on Wii. The online is great and I'm glad I got it even though I knew it was just a nostalgia purchase. This is the first game on the Wii I've looked forward to buying and didn't regret buying since I got my PS3 when the SLIM released. I recommend the new Goldeneye to anyone who likes shooters on the Wii.

I think it's a pretty good chance Just Dance might have a representative on the charts for the entirety of 2010 and 2010.

I wonder how Dance Central will do over there.

Depends on how many people buy into Kinect, there was a lot of hype about Wii before it came out over here, I've heard of no one yet excited to buy a Kinect. Maybe I just haven't bumped into enough Kinect enthusiasts, but then, the marketing over here has been minimal to nothing compared to the US, the tv adverts have only just started appearing on tv and don't seem to get played very often. Then again, the same could be said for Move and look how that did, best to wait and see what happens.

@Ezio Auditore da Firenze I cant see Just Dance having a representative for all of 2011, I dont think Just Dance 2 will last nearly as long as the original because a lot of the casual gamers who brought the original probaly cant justify buying the sequel when they only play once in a blue moon at like family gatherings.

I can see dance central and the kinect in general doing really well over here, seems like there is a real buzz for the kinect.

Finally I have never understood the appeal of football manager but it seems to do amazingly well every year, this is baffling to me.

I don't think that's so much the case, Just Dance IS popular, thus the reason why it's there in the top ten and has been there for a while, however, people who already have Just Dance may not feel the need to buy Just Dance 2 unless proven that it is indeed a new and fresh game. It was only just the other day my mum and sister got Just Dance, getting 2 so quickly is pushing it, though I think they are still considering buying it for christmas.

To be honest, if Just Dance had a music store like Guitar Hero and updates etc, 2 wouldn't exist right now, not for a while anyway because the first one would still be in the top ten selling enough. Its a real shame Wii doesnt have the same network capabilities as 360 and PS3, Just Dance would have certainly raked in the cash through music sales.

As for Kinect, it's supposed to be releasing this wednesday, I've heard more people talking about Black Ops than Kinect, even as I speak there is a convo between females on my Facebook about thier boyfriends prepping for Black Ops. That doesn't really account to much, but it does make me think, shouldn't there be more discussion about it, I expect no less from 360 owners, but its the casuals Microsoft is aiming for. People like my mum who is a casual gaming addict should know about it already and be planning to buy it for christmas, instead she's talking about Move and Just Dance 2, she only saw Move once on a shopping channel, its been rarely advertised :/

Most of the hype for the Kinect is coming from Microsoft's advertising.
From people being handed free 360s with Kinects, almost every blogger receiving Kinect (even Nintendo-only Bloggers), magazine reviewers, popular newspaper reviewers, donations to hospitals and rehabs, and etc.

Microsoft is spending a humongous pile of cash to market the Kinect... it's insane. I seriously wonder if all that marketing is going to pay off.

Especially considering this fact: From several reviews on game blog sites and newspapers, many consider the Kinect as "not thought out" (as switching from controller and motion is awkward) and the only game that deserves mention is Dance Central (it's getting HIGH praise, but everyone's wondering: Is buying a Kinect worth it just for one game? And if one doesn't have a 360, would the purchase of a console AND Kinect be worth it just for one awesome game?).

But all-in-all, the Kinect is getting mixed hype.
There's the hype in saying that it has infinite possibilities (usually from biased sites), and then there's the hype that it can bring more depth to certain genres of games. For instance: It works great on soccer/football/futbol, apparently.

Thats expected, football should always be at the top, just dance is becoming a trait too. I'm suprised Fable 3 is so high though and Vegas isn't :( I've seen Vegas advertised and spoken about a lot more then Fable 2.

I dont know if its just me but fable definatly seems to be the bigger "name" franchise. Its certainly had the bigger marketing push than fallout from what ive seen.

Probably, other then gaming sites, I havent seen any advertising Fable wise, Fable 2 was plastered everywhere, so I at least have something to compare it to. As for Vegas, it seemed to be the talk of the town, so I'm suprised to not see it perform better than it has.

As for the 'bigger' name franchise, that's all dependent on what you mean, Fallout has been around longer and I'd like to think has quite a strong fanbase. I suppose people just thought that its just a Fallout 3 addition as opposed to a new game.

Football Manager and Fifa (or Pro Evo) will always do very well in the UK. It's just how life is.

Just like to say well done to NSMBWii for returning to top 10. I know the 25th anniversary of the original is having an effect, but didn't think be that significant.

Fallout NV definitely has more hype among friends than Fable 3. Then again, people are still really massively for Oblivion so maybe Fable 3 just needs more advertising to take over as main fantasy game choice.

I was playing the football manager demo last week and my female flatmate walked over and asked what I was playing. I explained what Football Manager was and she replied with, "So it's like Farmville, but Football".

I didn't talk to her for the rest of the day.

Is Activision determined to drive its best studio - Bizarre Creations - into the ground?

They came up with Blur - easily the best arcade racing game of the past few years and thanks to no real marketing effort from parent co, it tanks.

Same thing happens this week with 007 Blood Stone, outsold by a remake of a decade old game on a console which is barely superior to the machine on which it made its debut.

Could have something to do with the fact that Fable is kinda lame. I played it for a couple hours for a few days. I have no real desire to go back to playing it.
