Good news for fans of Behaviour's rockabilly-rinsed, Eliza Dushku-infused grindhouse-em-up Wet: the recently rebranded studio (formerly A2M) is working on a sequel. "We're working on Wet 2 right now and Naughty Bear 2," Behaviour CEO Rémi Racine told Joystiq. When asked if the team began development of Wet 2 immediately following the original, Racine simply said, "The team is still at it, but that's all I can say."
Racine is obviously proud of his team's work on Wet but was disappointed that it got caught up in the Activision Blizzard merger. Wet was originally scheduled to be published by Vivendi and didn't make it onto Activision's roster; instead, some six months after the merger Bethesda took over publishing duties. While Racine wouldn't confirm whether or not Bethesda would reprise its role as publisher, he did comment on the original's underperformance. "We were very happy with [Bethesda's] commitment," Racine told us. "But, in their defense, we probably signed them too late. We should have signed them probably six months prior so we had more time to market the game. I think they came in late. Still, they did a very good job of promoting the game in the community. In the time that they had they did a very good job."
When asked whose decision it was to release Wet at the relatively budget price of $50, Racine said, "It was Bethesda's decision to decide the price. To be honest, you should ask them. I see the result and I won't comment; we get our fair share of the revenue. But it was their resonsibility to decide on the price." When asked if Wet 2 – and other future Behaviour titles – would be full-priced, Racine said, "I think there's a difference between Naughty Bear and a Wet title. Naughty Bear, I feel is more a $50 type of game. Wet I think deserved to be at full price."
There's a lot of us at Joystiq who thought Wet was one of the best titles in 2009, so we're eager to see if a sequel can polish the promise the original had. Naughty Bear on the other hand ... let's just say there's no shortage of areas upon which to improve.

I can see why Wet is getting a sequel, its a pretty fun game. As for Naughty Bear that games was an utter mess? Why not throw the funding to Wet.

Naughty Bear isn't bad, it's just very repetitive and gets old after a few minutes. Hopefully the sequel will have much more variety.

To be honest, I thought Wet was fun, a good game to play ever so often. Same with Naughty Bear, it's really not something you can play constantly, just good for a bit of mindless violence every once in a while.

While I personally didn't care too much for Wet, I can surely see why other people did like it. I see a lot of potential for a sequel.
Kind of like Mirror's Edge. I loved it, but not everyone did, but it has a lot of potential for a sequel.

The developers of Wet and Naughty Bear made a perfectly nice platformer called Scaler way back in 2004. That game should get a sequel instead of these horrible, abominable, wretched piles of digital refuse.

Wet 2 could be a pretty great game with the polish put into it. Naughty Bear 2 however... I agree with those wondering why it's $50 and not $10-20 on XBLA or PSN instead. Not that I payed the latter, but it reads like something easy to pick up for lols, but not too much else

Naughty Bear isn't even close to being worth $50, it should be an XLBA title. Wet is worth its current $20 asking price, it's not a AAA title.

Wet was one of the best games of 2009, easily so. It was a great concept, and it was a lot of fun. I think the biggest problem was it was short, at least short compared to games from Bioware and Bethesda. Personally for a single player game I need to get at least 40 hours of fun for it to be a viable purchase at max price.
Regardless, awesome game, awesome fun, awesome all around.

How exactly is CoD a terrible game? And if it is so terrible, why is it so popular?
I may not be a fan of activision, but you have to be silly to think CoD is a bad game. Bad games don't sell well, because they are bad, furthermore, bad games don't draw this much hype, rake in that much money in one week and have gamers playing them addictivly for ages. I fail to understand your arguement.

No, really the point is justified, for a game to be bad, it has to have elements or an element that is undesirable to the masses and maybe it may have one or two quirks that an individual may like. That doesnt mean that all good games sell well, but if you can present to me a bad game that sold well, I might take back my opinion.
Its hypocritical for you to say my point is invalid when your point prior to that made little or no logical sense to begin with, you still haven't explained to me why CoD is a bad game other then the fact that Activision releases a similar theme all the time, but I would have thought that was the logical approach, considering that that theme is popular. Why change something that doesnt need to be changed?
Haze was a bad game, it sold like crap, Lair was a bad game, it sold like crap, the list goes on, but these games were bad because there were bugs and issues, lack of creativity, ideas inspired from other games that didn't work well in presentation, limitations to the software capacity, repetition in all aspects of the word, lack of character development and just all round unfun.
I won't deny that there are games in each of those series that don't quite hit the mark, like ODST for Halo, CoD WoW for CoD and Guitar Hero and Rock Band artist exclusives that weren't quite as great as the orignal, but they were still good games, they just couldn't compare to prior titles. Logic is lacking.

See, thats where your wrong. The masses are irrelevant. Success is irrelevant, popularity is irrelevant. CoD is bad game, it's just bad enough that the masses, the imbeciles of our society, eat it up. Want another example? Transformers movies. Really popular, and yet they're a joke.

This is where your arguement makes even less sense. Popularity is there because a game is considered fun or enjoyable in some way or form, that only occurs because the game was good, fun or an experience worthy of being replayed over and over again. You just seem to have some kind of hatred against the game for a reason I think is pretty unjustified. There are lots of games I'm not a fan of and movies likewise, but that doesn't mean they are bad. I hate twillight with a passion, I find it pretentious, mysoginistic and downright farfetched in all aspects, but who appointed me the judge of all things? I have no right to say twillight is a bad book because if it was bad, there wouldn't be so many people who love reading the book, buying each one and dedicating so much time towards the series, Stephan King himself got blasted by fans of the book after saying the writer of it could not write and many even began boycotting his books and films. I like Lord of the Rings, but there are people who will think it's boring.
Transformers movies may have been explosionfests, but I can't deny, I enjoyed the first one despite it having little or no relation to the comic book series and I would gladly watch the first one again, the second one was a little over the top for my liking.
You don't watch films that are bad unless you really want to put yourself through that pain, you don't eat food that you think is disgusting unless you really want to puke it all back up later, you don't read books you find boring, because it doesnt make sense wasting your time on something you're not getting a thrill out of and you don't play games that are downright crappy, because why dedicate your time to a crappy game when there are plenty of superb games you could be playing instead.
Why should I play Haze when I could play MAG or CoD?
I don't know what your problem is with people enjoying a series because they consider it fun, but you really need to get over yourself, you claim that Wet was the best game of 2009 when it had annoying controls, average graphics, repetitive gameplay and lacked any multiplayer functions worth talking about. I can put to you right now at 'least' 30 more games I played during 2009 that were more fun to me then Wet was. That doesn't mean that Wet was a bad game either, otherwise you wouldn't be one of the "imbeciles of our society, eating it up" and wanting the sequel.

Transformers? Bad
Twilight? Bad
CoD? Bad
WoW? Bad
Family Guy? Bad
Citizen Kane? Good
To Kill a Mockingbird? Good
Braid? Good
TF2? Good
Scrubs? Good (Though not the final 2 seasons)
The majority of people are idiots, and if you are having such a hard time wrapping your head around that, well then I've got bad news for you.

No, you're just deluded, you have this belief stuck in your head that if you don't like it that it's bad. If that were the case then Scrubs would be bad too, because I don't particularly care for it, I personally find it boring.
No, it's not bad, its just a varied opinion. Twillight isn't bad, it's just a different way of writing, and there are people who enjoy it for what it is. If YOU can't understand that, I think it's best you hide away from the world you're obviously a sore thumb.
CoD is bad? WoW is bad? Most brainless claims I've seen in a while. If those games are bad, then I give up on gaming, shooters are trying to be CoD and MMOs are trying to be WoW for a reason. Both of which are million dollar making franchises because they were good games.
@ Acosta02: I would be inclined to agree with you, but I honestly can't think of many if any at all critically accliamed terrible games that sold very well. Most of them have been excellent if not, at least good, and then theres those guilty pleasures and unique games that were good but didn't get the recognition they deserved because they weren't mass marketed or big budgeted. Theres a reason why many casual titles on the Wii go ignored while Nintendo made ones do well, its because of the gap in the levels of quality. While games like Madworld and Dead Space Extraction unfortunatly didn't get the recogntion they deserved despite both being good games. Good games aren't judged by popularity, that I agree, though the level in quality is judged upon what the game does well that other games may not and what it should be doing, like for example, running well without glitches and bugs everywhere.
