Gal Gun publisher fighting with Microsoft over panties

According to Andriasang, the countdown to Gal Gun's release has stopped in response to trouble from Microsoft. Currently, the official Gal Gun site, which hosts the countdown, is down entirely. It seems the company finally noticed what, exactly, it was showing off at its TGS booth. Gal Gun's release date was originally set for January 27.

"Negotiations have started for the great moral cause (panties)," publisher Alchemist said on the official site, suggesting that Microsoft is objecting to content in the thoroughly objectionable shooter. This should come as little surprise to Alchemist, since the game itself includes a built-in mechanism to hide its contents from others.

Shooting games + control pad = fail.

Unless the XBox has a lightgun I don't know about.

I think this would work as a Kinect title...
Although I think that would create an even bigger problem with MS if there was a groping minigame.

Shooting games on a control pad = moving a crosshair onscreen.

Shooting games with a lightgun = point and shoot.

Control pads on these games always suck. I have seen, and have some shooting games where using a control pad will literally make some scenes impossible in those games.

Nirvash, it could work as a Kinect title, but how would it read the shooting? The camera doesn't have the resolution to detect finger motions. It would have to see a slight hand movement as shoot.

Microsoft, just slap a M rating on it and it should be fine.

@Redeemer Except in Japan, that would be a CERO-Z rating, and like every other industrial nation with a single payer healthcare system such high ratings are effective bans (can't advertise, can't have it on shelves, customers must ask by name). Microsoft does not allow games with ratings that function as government sales bans (or, in America, ESRB-AO) to be certified for the console.

Most likely this is a CYA move on Microsoft's behalf to avoid pressure from CERO.

Sorry, for some reason I was thinking of a M-rating for the North American market. Not that I think that it would come over here at all.

At any rate, there are probably worse games out there that would probably warrant not being released over this one.

I don't think this would be a CERO-Z game. There's no nudity, no blood, no gore.

Perhaps they were bloody panties. Either way, save the f'n children!
