Years of Henry Kissinger talking in your ear will do that to anyone.

J. McElroy's likeness to much younger Castro is unnerving! Castro had a gray beard in his teens no?

Still talking about Castlevania? I think we get the point.

Also, after seeing this pic. Justin, you should really grow a beard.

Man last week was BRUTAL! I usually like the diverse opinions Justin, Chris, and Ludwig bring to the show but the Castlevania talk is so hard to listen too. I like Justin and really want to respect his thoughts on Castlevania but I feel like he's just hating on the game now for seemingly no reason (well maybe to piss off Luddy and Chris).

I hope he reveals his trollface in this weeks podcast so we can put all this Castlevania talk behind us.

Yeah, I agree. Admittedly I'm kind of that way too, though. When I'm on a topic I can't let it go until I'm the right one. Unfortunately I can't listen to the podcast until later tonight when I'm not busy.

I rather enjoy these disagreements. In fact, I think they're the reason I still listen to the podcast.

Last week, however, Justin wasn't making any sense. Almost every single argument he had against Catlevania sounded like a lame excuse rather than a legitimate reason for hating the game.

Button prompts? Really?

Maybe it's just me, but if by your own account you're "no good at shooting dudes" a "first person shooter" might not be the game you should be playing in a competitive multiplayer mode...

Man Chris, get that Halo schlong out of your mouth, PLEASE. Other than that bias, I enjoyed the podcast.

Someone doesn't like a game that you like? Heaven forbid! They must be sucking the schlong of another game and all their points are invalid.

@Killface was here What? I'm not even referring to Blops, which I could care less about. I just think he's putting Halo on too high a pedestal... there are plenty of other excellent FPSs out there to compare to.

Um he said he was getting tired of it, but that it's multiplayer was still the gold standard. Fair and balanced.

What Chris said about Halo's story was really true. I'm really interested in the mythology behind the games, in the books and all that, as an avid consumer of scifi books, I love them, they're great. The games however, despite always having a fantastic atmosphere and feel are always disappointingly light on any actual meat of a story

Hey I just beat Mass Effect 2 and yeah I guess my priorities are messed up what with not getting paid to play games and having a full time job and a family and all.

I have to pick and choose which games to play and obviously the back catalogue is quite large. It so happens the last game I hadn't played that I chose to pick up was ME2.

Another by the numbers podcast. Don't get me wrong I enjoy listening to it but I get a little disappointed because I know these three guys are capable of better. Episode zero is linked to every new show but at this point is it really needed? Seems lately like these guys are just hitting the talking points as fast as possible without allowing much room for personality or in-jokes to naturally evolve. Where have the random tangents of old gone? I can't think of any segments in recent memory that would work well for the Space Ghost X videos. I was a big fan of the old GFW radio and I would argue that the reason it had such a devoted fan following had little to do with the fact that it was based around pc games. Gaming is a hook to establish an audience with common interests but from there I think most people stick with a podcast to feel part of a fiendly conversation among interesting personalities. I can understand if the guys just don't have as much time for the podcast as they used to or maybe they despise talking to each other now due to some secret behind the music drama. I would just hope they have not made this change with the thinking that it's what makes for a better podcast because I'm here to say I miss the longer less structured just riffin podcasts of old. Anyways just some thoughts of mine that I wanted to get out; hopefully I was able to provide some feedback without sounding too ungrateful for the awesome work that these guys do.

The ongoing debate about Castlevania in the past few podcasts is great. I see Justin's point about certain button routines and a general brownness in the early parts of the story, but I love the game--I beat it today, and was blown away by the ending, the variety, and of course the length. The story grows on you with each chapter, and the increasing variety of attacks, magic, and foes makes the gameplay exponentially more interesting. This is a hell of a lot of game. Now on to AC Brotherhood . . .

Any chance the audio quality of the podcast could be improved? It's a bummer that such a smart and funny podcast sounds so bad.
