I've been keeping my eye on this game ever since I played the demo on Kinect Adventures. I don't shop at Old Navy but I will be there early just to get this game at that price. Jeans & a shirt would be enough.

Meanwhile i'll have my friend pick up FF13, Fable 3, and Reach at Target :D

Damn, that's like getting the game for half price with a free pair of pants.

@Shadsy

I think what he's getting at is the average old navy shopper won't give a poo about the Dance Central game.

I got Lego Rock Band for free last year, not to mention 2 really nice* jackets for like 80% off.

Then again, without a Kinect I don't know what I would do other than scalp it.

*I understand "really nice" is subjective. But at 80% off plus a free game, it was worth it.

Make sure before you wait in line that you get a bracelet. Otherwise you get nothing. Trust me, I know.

IMPORTANT NOTE - before you start waiting for a midnight opening, contact your store to make sure they will be open. The mall my GF works in won't open till 7AM.

Old Navy? Dance Central? I don't know what's worse. People thinking I shop at Old Navy or people thinking I'm stupid enough to buy a Kinect....

@jediyoshi I thought it was inconsiderate too. Thanks for sticking up for me, pal! We should hang out some time. Meet me at the foodcourt. I'll be the one who's not wearing Old Navy while simultaneously not carrying a copy of a crappy game made for a gimmicky novelty device. According to the down votes, I will most likely be the only one so I should be easy to spot.

Don't bother. I tried to get Lego Rock Band this way last year at an Old Navy in WNY, but they only had THREE copies which were taken by people that had been there all night.

@km3k I just noticed the midnight opening being mentioned above. Not all stores do this. The ones near me didn't last year.

I would go but I don't want to risk it. Someone got shot in the leg from who knows where last year when they were giving out Lego Rock Band. @ the bruckner location in the bronx.

@iluvalima If someone gets shot carrying a free copy of Dance Central for the Kinect out of an Old Navy, I'm guessing they had it coming.

My girlfriend and I stood in line from 11:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. last year for the free Lego Rock Band. It was worth it, plus I got a nice, fluffy, coat I enjoy. Later on, we traded in the game for $22 so essentially I got a $3 coat!

We figure this year since it's not multi-platform, and not many of those Xbox 360 owners own a Kinect, the chances of us getting the game increases. Especially if most Kinect users think Dance Central is ridiculous... like me. But my girlfriend insists we get this game just in case we're ever challenged to a dance-off in a life-or-death situation.

One thing though. What exactly is Friday at Midnight? Does this mean Friday, one minute after 11:59 p.m. (technically making it Saturday), or does this mean we'll be waiting in line the night of Thanksgiving (trying to hold in that Thanksgiving poo)?

@aaaaron Just make sure you take a shit before u go/ went fool. Or better yet take a roll of shit paper with you & take a shit in line. I'm pretty sure after you do that. You will have the #1 spot fool.

Wow, that line on the poster is classic:
"Get a Dance Central Kinect for Xbox 360 game"

It's like they couldn't make up their mind of the order of adjectives. I love it when people describe proper nouns with indefinite articles. "You want one of them Dance Centrals?"

For those of you who have done this b4 do you just have to be the first in line outside the store or do you have to race in the store and grab something for $25 and be the first to check out in order to get the free game?

It was a complete failure this year.

I didn't go because I was sick and really tired, so my girlfriend and her friend's stood in line at 9 p.m. They were about 15 people from the front of the line. Well, someone called their friends up and blatantly said out loud "Get up here quick. I'll let you cut in line."

So a group of 15 or 20 people cut in line and apparently no one said anything. Probably due to the fact that all the people looked like the type of people that would probably have a gun on them.

Once the doors opened around 11:50 p.m., they RAN inside ahead of everyone else that was in front of them. They started grabbing mall furniture to put by the door at Old Navy. Midnight came and nothing happened. Turns out they didn't pay the fee to open at midnight and were opening at 5 a.m. instead.

Someone saw a sign that said "line starts here" and of course all the homeboys rushed to the front of the line again that wasn't their spot to begin with.

Someone spotted a sign
