If I can get this game on black friday for $29.99 then maybe, maybe I'll consider it. Any other higher price point is a non starter.

@John Deadly I'm with you on this. Hopefully it bombs hard on launch day and they price drop.

ROFL. I had not idea they wanted 50$ for this.

I'll wait for the more appropriate 15$ price. How silly

@John Deadly Seriously.. they could have tricked me into paying 39.99 for the game.. but 50 just makes you go "!"

should be 29.99, could have gotten 39.99.. but wont get 49.99 from me.

seriously, this is how I feel. I was expecting $20 to be honest, though. I'll wait for the inevitable price drop, like most smart folks that have a clue in their brains.

I think most places don't price match on Black Friday.

This was such a letdown. I would have totally bought it as an XBLA title, but it's not worth 50-60 dollars.

I was convinced all along it was a XBLA and PSN game as well. Its just a recoded old game wth?

Weird how it's a patch, maybe to fight piracy? I would guess it probably was pirated a couple times on Wii

@Kendomo It's a patch because originally this was going to be a free add on game to people who bought NBA Elite 2011. When that died, EA decided to release just this, but being the greedy ****s they are, they decided to jack up the price to $50, and put their team hard at work at tacking on extra content to 'justify' the price. They want to release it this holiday season, so we're getting whatever they have at the moment so it can be pressed and shipped and submitted for raings, which buys them more time to release it online later.

I really don't understand how this isn't a $15 or $20 XBLA/PSN game. The only thing I can think of is they had to price it the same as the Wii game so Wiikids wouldn't be mad about getting ripped off.

Incorrect. It's EA. Enough said.

Great game but not a lot to it, Just basic game-modes.. Honestly, It would had been better as a XBLA/PSN tittle. 10$ less of a full price game isn't gonna sway anybody to pay less for NBA Jam over Black-Ops or any new tittle.

You can add or not add whatever you like, EA. I'm not buying $60,- XBLA games, cause that's what this pretty much is.

It's actually $50 not $60. But your point is still valid that price is WAY to high. I maybe, maybe would 've paid $30 but in reality this game shoulda been $15-$20 as an XBLA title. Ill wait til bargain bin on this one. Nobody buy it so we can get it at a reasonable price sooner.

I love the Jam series, but I'll stick with the old Saturn and PlayStation versions until this one hits $20. Hopefully, there'll be a "fire" sale soon.

You can buy it at launch if you want but the fact remains that NO multiplayer-driven concept is worth the investment unless the value attracts a large contingent of players online, both at launch and weeks after...

i pretty much echo everyone else in saying they won't pay $50 for this. i was hoping this would be on sale in the black friday ads for the 360 but all i have seen is the wii version. ea just messed this up so bad by advertising this as a free bonus to the $60 nba elite and then turned this into pretty much a full, retail release. that basically gave everyone the mindset that this is a 10, 15, or 20 dollar tops dlc type game. then all of sudden they added a few features and it becomes the nba game this year for ea. hopefully everyone on here actually doesn't pay $50 for this like they are saying so that it only goes to the bargain bin that much quicker!

Why on earth would I spend this much on a game that has far fewer features than NBA Street, which came out 15-ish years ago?

EVERYONE should downvote the ratings everywhere online. Best Buy, Gamestop, Amazon, .... everywhere. EA is just trying to rappe(minus 1 p) kids and ignorant parents for literally nothing.

Wow, I'll join the ranks that thought this was going to be an XBLA/PSN release. If it's anything like the original, I'm sure it's a blast, but $50? Come on now.

Seriously, are we surprised about this. They (EA) try to sell us a shambles with "Elite 11". Now that has been killed from sale EA have to get their money back somehow.

Its a shame that they avoided HD release for so long that when it came time for them to own up to their mistake of focusing on the Wii they decided to release the HD version unfinished and still charge full price at launch.

If this would have started off an a 360/PS3 project this would have been entirely avoided.

So much winging for a game no one is apparently going to buy. The game is available for $40AU (w/ free worldwide shipping) on a handful of import sites. More than half off the game at Australian retail.

And I repeat, again, this game is the Wii game AND MORE. Which is presumably what no one in this comment thread wanted, but hey, it's what I wanted since announcement of the Wii game.
